Remarks
Few professors still don't change their old ways of teaching. They still don't adopt themselves to new technologies. If every professor gets themsleves equipped with the recent technology then the knowledge the students get would be invaluable.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was not an upto date syllabus. Some modifications are required, for the students to understand the current trends. Also the course curriculum was modified for our juniors and i am not sure how the current cirriculum is
Placement Experience
Yeah the placements are really good. Around 100 companies visit our college every year and recruit students. But most of the companies provide software roles, only few core companies visit. Folks from departments like chemical and metallaurgy find it difficult to get placement in core companies. Our college do provide internships, but mostly students seek internships with tech companies and foreign universities.
College Events
There are two fests celebrated in our college. Tech fest and cultural fest. Technozion is the tech fest which is organised every year in the month of October or November. There are lot of events on technology are organised for the people from other colleges. The cultural fest is organised in the month of March which have the popular singers from India visit our college and perform live.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is around 1.25 lakhs for tuition per annum. Students opting hostels have to pay an additional 24000 every year. Compared to some private colleges the fee structure is not that expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship our college provides is based purely on merit. I have availed scholarship three times during my four years there. This scholarship reimburses the entire tuition fee if you stand in top 10 percentile every year from each department.
Campus Life
We have one huge stadium for cricket, two basket ball courts and two tennis courts and an indoor stadium for badminton. We also have three gymnasiums. We are active participants of inter NIT sports every year and are proud winners of several events. The labs are good, but few labs have non functional equipments.
Hostel Facilities
We are boasted to have the second tallest hostel block in entire Asia. We call it 1.8k as it accommodates nearly 1800 people, this is allocated for first years only. The hostels for first years, juniors and seniors are really good. But the sophomores have to adjust in old blocks which are not soo good.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni base of NIT Warangal is excellent. I would say the placement statistics is very good because of the alumni we have. There are several alumni who are CEOs of few startups and some alumni hold respectable positions in famous companies.
Admission
It's through JOSSA. I wrote the Jee mains exam and got qualified. I was required to fill the JOSSA portal my preference list and depending upon the vacacies available the seat is allocated to your through councelling in the JOSSA centers nearby.
Faculty
Some professors don't even teach you the whole syllabus. And lot of faculty members are recently recruited and needs experience to teach the students of B.Tech, otherwise it would be difficult for students to understand the concepts.
