Remarks

Positive remarks: One of the most beautiful campuses of India, Greenery, Scenic beauty, Great infrastructure, Good Placements, Qualified faculty, Good living facilities, Negative Remarks: Water Shortage, Outdated Curriculum.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement opportunities are quite good. Especially for the Computer Science Students who get almost 100% placement with an average salary package of around 7 lakhs per annum. Internships are also offered for students studying in the penultimate year of their degrees, but the companies visiting for internship are much less in number when compared with those visiting for placements.

College Events

4

The two fests of the college are: Hill'ffair: A cultural extravaganza Nimbus: The technical fest Besides this, national festivals like Independence day, republic day, Freedom Day, etc. are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is variable. The students whose parents have an annual income of more than 5 lpa and who belong to general category have to pay most (around Rs 73000 per semester). Those students who belong to OBC-NCL category have to pay around 35000 per semester and those belonging to SC and ST categories have to pay around 10000 per semester. Besides this students also have to pay the hostel fee of around Rs 25000. So the fee structure is not very expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since the college is a government college, all the scholarships of the government are there to be availed by the students. There are a lot of scholarships especially for the socially and economically backward students. I belong to General Category but get an yearly scholarship of Rs 24000, purely based on merit, from SJVN Ltd. The amount is much more for SC, ST and EB students.

Campus Life

5

Sports infrastructure is good. We have a big ground, basketball court, 2 lawn tennis courts , number of table tennis tables, number of badminton courts, a karate academy, yoga sessions, gymnasium facilities, and facilities for indoor activities also. Labs for almost every field exists in the college. But they can be better equipped. For extracurricular activities a number of cultural and technical clubs exist in the college namely: Music Club, Dance Club, Dramatics Club, Fashion Parade, Public Relations, Indian Society for Technical Education, English Literary Club, Hindi Literary Club, Bhanera Club, Nati Club, Eco Club, Yoga and Meditation.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel infrastructure and facilities are extremely good when compared to other hostels in nearby colleges. Rooms are clean, well lit and well ventilated, especially in the newly built hostels. Sweeping is done daily. 24 hours electricity supply is there. Food is above average. The only problem is of shortage of water but that is taken care of by water tankers.

Alumni/Alumna

One of the shortcomings of the college is the poor alumni network. A very few alumni are active in the college and they too because of their personal relations. As a result there's no funding or any other help whatsoever from the side of the alumni.

Admission

I appeared in all India engineering entrance exam called JEE Mains and then got admission in the college based on merit. My rank was 21991 out of almost 1200000 students who appeared in the exam. I got 140 marks out of maximum of 360 marks and my net aggregate after the addition of class 12th marks was 156.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is well educated. Most are Doctorates. But more training is required so that the teaching can be more practical oriented and less burdening. The teaching in classroom is not industry oriented and students have to themselves make them placement and industry ready.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
