Remarks

I honestly don't like my college at all. They demand so much high fees. And the faculty I don't like at all, yes some I like, but mostly I don't like. The office room stuffs are not that helpful. The college lacks a cheerful environment for the students. Extracurriculum activities are very poor.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The exam structure is yearly, but there are pre tests and tests every year before the final examination. I personally think my course is not that tough so the college professors don't have to guide us that carefully, but yes they provide all we need for our practical works.

Placement Experience

0.5

No my college doesn't provide any internship or placements or any job opportunities. And there is no stipend. As it is under a state university. We have to study there for at least 3 years to get a bachelor's degree then we can try to find a job.

College Events

1

Not a single event is held in our college. I can remember when I was in 1st year there was held a students' fest, after that I can't remember any events that'd celebrated in our college. And it's very unfair, we see other colleges celebrating fest, Freshers, social throughout the year, and here we are.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are very expensive as compared to other colleges. This is a girls' college, and all the expenses are very expensive as compared to other colleges. We have to pay Rs. 8500 for the general bsc course for 3rd year, where other colleges are demanding only Rs. 3000-4000.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college provides the stipend for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students. And also provides the Kanyasree scheme for all the girls in the college which is a scheme of West Bengal state government.

Campus Life

2.5

The labs are not so good. Most of the instruments and apparatus in the physics lab are faulty or very old, out of date, so we can't do the practical works properly. The computers in the computer lab are very old, they keep restarting in the middle of any work.

Alumni/Alumna

No I don't communicate much to the alumni or the senior students, but as I heard some times that any siblings of the current students that had studied in this college always suggest not to get in this college as honestly it's not that good as they take so much higher fees.

Admission

I applied online in this college, then the college published a merit list based on the marks of 12th then they verified my documents and took a short interview and told them why I chose this college and why I was going to choose this course, then atlast I got admitted after paying the admission fee.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is very good in some departments but there are exceptions too. Some are very diligent and very serious about the students, and there are some who are too lazy to take classes, they just come to the college, give their attendance and sit on a chair for the whole day.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
