Remarks

There are many positive remarks about my college on many things such as course curriculum, professors, examination system, labs, library, infrastructure, extra curriculum activities, sports, hostels, hostels' food. But there are also a negative remarks on my mind on fees taking system. It is very inefficient system and it can be improved to a better system.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course structure is really beautiful and efficient. It is actually designed by our respected professors with many things keeping in the mind. It helps us to go premium institute after doing bachelors and we also equip in quantitative and qualitative skills.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college does not provide any internship from their own side. But from our college many students apply internship and successfully complete their internship from premium institute like IISC, ISI, TIFR etc.

Placement Experience

There are no placement facility in our college. Most of the courses of our college are Bachelors so we learn essential thing from our college to go any premium institution for completing our master degree and then go to job or PhD. This can be considered as placements implicitly.

College Events

Our college organises various types of events in every year. I'll describe mainly departmental events which represents every individual department in our college. SCI-PHY - It belongs to department of physics college of our college. Conjecture - It belongs to department of economics college of our college. Envision - It belongs to department of computer science college of our college. Clio venture - It belongs to department of history college of our college. Infinity - It belongs to department of statistics and mathematics college of our college. Each programs are organised annually and consist of quiz, debate, paper presentation etc. Along with departmental program, there are other programs like drama competition, spiritual program etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is completely feasible. Since our college is residential, here all students has to live and eat mess food. So monthly food expense of our college is around 3000 only. Academic fee is around 200 only per month. Annual complimentary fee is around 7000 only and lab fee is around 5000 only. Admission fee is 20000 only which is paid fro one time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes their are lots of students who are enjoying the merit scholarship and also need base scholarship. Someone's dream about study could not be ruined by deficiency of money. Our college positively takes care of this. I can proudly say that fee structure of our college is like something that can be afforded by anyone either from their parents or scholarships but not by taking loans.

Campus Life

Their are lots of things to do in our college. Labs are the parts of academic syllabus so there are essential labs for respective departments in or college. Annual sports competition, annual swimming competition held once in the year. Multi facility gyms are equipped with highly sophisticated instruments in our college and also there are big stadium and highly sophisticated swimming pools in our colllege.

Hostel Facilities

There are four hostels in our college. Hostel rooms are well furnished one bed, one study table and one wardrobe. There are more than sufficient bathrooms in every hostel. Each hostel study room, prayer hall and common room equipped tv, carom board, table tennis. Each student gets purified water from their respective hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very helpful and I must say our campus is totally anti ragging campus rather seniors help us in many purpose like in our study, hostel magazine, drama etc. We together play games and enjoying hostel life. Since we have a strong alumni networks, we get lots of help from our alumni.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is very transparent and very systematic in our college. We give our exam under CCTV surveillance and there are three big exam hall to accommodate students fro examination. Since there are semester system in our college so two times exams are organised per year.

Admission

I applied here after my board exam, then prepare according to their syllabus for entrance test and gave entrance test in the scheduled date. After getting qualified in the test I got admitted in the college.

Our professors are very helpful. They actually guide us in a way that we can do better in our career and also can help to our nations. They guide us like their owns and they not only build our careers they also help us to be a man.

Likes

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

The faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable after class for doubts and guidance, which helps a lot during exams.
The college has a disciplined academic environment with regular classes and practical sessions. Laboratories are functional and help students understand concepts through hands-on learning.
The campus environment is calm and student-friendly. Various seminars, cultural programs, and academic activities help in overall personality development.

Dislikes

Industry exposure and internship guidance are minimal, which could be improved to make students more job-ready after graduation.
Infrastructure can be improved, especially classrooms and laboratory equipment. Some facilities feel outdated and require modernization.
Placement opportunities for BSc students are limited. The college focuses more on academics, so students need to prepare for higher studies or competitive exams on their own.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

I like the campus , it is quite huge and green , the canteen has both cooked and packed food available, a seperate common room for students and many sports equipment available. Several functions are arranged along with international conferences held
All the faculty members are soft spoken , knowledgeable and friendly, it is easy to find help regarding anything.
Professors are strict about their syllabus and subjects , paying proper attention to the students. Practicals classes are conducted without fail.

Dislikes

There is nothing as such that I disliked because I am a first year student so I haven't been so much involved yet , I think that the washrooms should be cleaned properly to maintain the hygiene apart from thjs everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects offered in the college as well as the minor and idc subjects are well adhered to the curriculum and future aspects. The subject combinations are apt and futuristic. It moderately prepares one for real world situations.

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

Likes

The admission process was very smooth, the administration board is very helpful.
The library is huge and the content of books is very good
College life and fests are good but not great

Dislikes

Placements are absolutely bogus. There were almost no good placements when i passed out part of it can be blamed on covid but mostly the college was largely at fault
Faculty was not upto the mark in regards to the hefty college fees we were charged
Even during covid online classes we were charged full fee which is again absolutely horrendous

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well
Teacher are very good and friendly for us

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Examination Questions And Syllabus are good.
Faculties and Facilities are good enough.
College and evaluation system is good enough.

Dislikes

Timings of examinations per semester is reduced.
Examination centres are given far away from college.
Fees is little bit Higher for many poor students.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

There a certain criteria to get admission to this college. 1)You must have a certain cut-off mark in your board exam(HS). If you have then you are eligible for the entrance test. 2) After clearing the test you will be qualified for admission here.
