College Review

Though it provides a great environment to study it entirely depends on the student of how well they use their resources. The college will be doing their best to help you out. Language barrier could be problem since most of the non departmental staff speak odiya.

There is a precise course curriculum for all of the 8 semesters that would be handed out to you in your 1st semester. And then everything will be carried out accordingly. There might be certain changes but most of the curriculum will be followed accordingly.

There are a few centres available near the campus which do provide certain internship courses such as NTPCs etc. Apart from that you could ask the teachers about internship programs that might be conducted the university.

The placements are one of the major factor why most of the students choose this college. The average placements goes up to 97-99%. And the average package must be around 3.5 lakhs. Most of the companies that recruit are IT companies.

KIIT fest- It's the main fest event held by the university. Its a 3 day program. The first two days has a lot of events technical as well as fun. And the third day/night is the social night. We've had Nucleya, DJ Kiran Kamath, Sunidhi Chauhan, Armaan Mallik and many other celebs.

It's quite expensive. The fees has been increased every year. It's not at all feasible. And then you have to separately register for your exams before every end sem. The input to output ratio is quite low.

I have no idea about that. You might need to contact the administrative department and ask them in details about the the scholarship or loan facility.

Yep. Every this is available. You'd be required to take up the membership first for gyms and sports centers. And then it goes all smoothly. And as for the labs, they all are updated and equipped with every required apparatus.

The hostel infrastructure and facilities are really good. KIIT provides safe and sound environment to its students. Every hostels are provided with food courts and shops. Students are also provided with gyms and sports centers.

You can reach out to your alumnus if you've ever exchanged phone no.s with them. Other wise you could ask your teachers or administration to put in contact with the alumnus. They can help you out too.

Its similar to the exam structure in school. There are the mid semester exams and end sems in every semester. Pretty self explanatory. The exams will be held on paper and you'd recieve the checked copy in the soft form.

You have to fill out the form for the entrance exam that is held by KIIT itself. The results are declared in April-March and by June-July you'll get a call. The entrance exam is not hard to crack. One can do it easily.

There are some experienced faculties in the college. But students will have to go out of their way to get their doubts cleared. There might be a language barrier among some of the staffs. But not a big problem.
