Remarks

This is one of the best colleges of Maharshtra. If you graduate from here, the brand of the college sticks to you and wherever you go, it will help you some or the other way. Just only negative thing about college is it is too far from metro cities

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum here is as per the industry standards. They change the syllabus as soon as some cutting edge technology is there in industry. Seniours guide the juniors for the technical knowledge and placement

Internships Opportunities

Internship is started since 2015and I graduated in 2014, so I do not have any specifc experience of internship, but whoever did it they really got great exposure and were ready for corporate well in advance.

Placement Experience

WCE Sangli has great placement record. Many top end companies like Thoughtworks, Microsoft, BPCL visit here. Most of the branches are having 100% placement here with multiple company offer in hand with good annual salary package.

College Events

College has clubs like Walchand Linux Users' Group, rotaract. They conduct annual events like Android workshops or Linux workshops. Many of the workshops are free or with negligible entry fees around 200-400

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure here is as per the government rules, that is different fees for different category of students. Fees ranging from 20k to 60k. For few categories, hostel maintainance is also returned as scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can get category wise scholarships here or hostel maintainance as scholarship. In addition to that, you can also apply for some external scholarships. College gives free books for few of the poor students every year

Campus Life

There are many clubs in WCE Sangli like Rotaract, WLUG (Walchand Linux Users' Group, etc) and one departmental club each. To explain about clubs, seniors conduct club services for juniors so that they can prepare them technically and personality wise

Hostel Facilities

WCE Sangli is spread over 92 + acres of land. You will rarely see any 2 floor buildings here as it was started in 1947. College has very old infrastructure, which makes it look great. The environment is also very good here and fressh due to forest area nearby

Alumni/Alumna

College has great alumni network and alumni meet happens in every 2nd week of January every year. College has its' alumni in all the fields. ALumni guide the students as well as try to do something for college

Exam Structure

Exams in WCE Sangli are cumulative basis. There are multiple parts in exam 1. 20 marks internal 2. 30 marks mid semester test 3. 50 marks end semester test Depending on marks obtained, grades are given to students WCE Sangli has relative pointer system since year 2014.

Admission

I had scored 174/200 marks in CET. Now they have percentile system for admission which is on JEE Mains. Till 2014, top autonomous institutes had counseling for admission. But since 2015, college admission is through CAP rounds.

Faculty

Faculty here are like faculty in schools. We had one of the best teachers here. They make sure the students are ready for industry. Even though college is autonomous, they have strict rules for project and exams and assignments.

Honest review if you wanna opt for this college

Likes

The girls to boy ratios is good, we get to see all girls equal contributing in the college
The faculty is good, they are very helpful and give good guidance
The boys and girls common room is good to get together with friends to chill and study

Dislikes

Faculty being good they are sassy and might ignore for a time to teach you that not everything will be entertained
The principal is kinda rude and his speech is too long
Well other activities like sports isn't support properly

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students are eligible for placement Companies visited are tcs and few others i don't remember their names The average package is 5 lpa and the highest is 13 lpa Mostly 80-90% of students gets placement as they do a placement training for us amd prepares us for the placement exams and interviews and all My personal plan is to go abroad for higher studies but i am going to sit for placement if i get good package then i might not go to abroad for higher studies

Likes

I really liked the infrastructure of the college its very nice and has good environment .
DPCOE is famous for its sports , it has massive turf where kids of 4 to 5 age has their matches
Also i like my department , as i am an automobile engineering we need most practical knowledge , this college offers a big workshop just for us an also yearly event for automobile students . Also clubs are there which has reputation of national rank

Dislikes

I kind of felt that faculty can be biased sometimes also do not care what and how we want to study .
Watchman can be little rude sometimes , also informing that their are exam coming in next week are to be informed at leat 10 days before. I have a suggestion of preparing acadamic calender of year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Mit aoe has good faculties and teaching and academic are good enough
Not too crowded as intake is 1300 students of the college
Gender ratio is almost 4:3 as of my batch

Dislikes

Mit aoe Campus is very small hardly 4 to 5 acres
Mit aoe fees is costly comparitively to the other colleges
Mit aoe Campus is almost at the edge of pcmc makes hard for traveling to the main city

Placement Experience:

I think students are eligible for internship from 2 nd year and about placement it is nice with the comparison to others like Sinhgad ,marathwada and alll companies like jsw,cisco ,eq technology and many more are visited in placement cell

Campus is huge and there is to much space for walk and greenari
Affordable price in cantin same we eat outside.
Not that much strict environment than many of the college.

Dislikes

Campus is huge but is mostly empty need of development.
Need of infrastructure and sports facility for students.
Need of contact no. Of emergency contact of the staff.

Placement Experience:

I talk with most of the senior and faculty and placement cell start of 3 rd year you will get internship opportunities and and in 4 th year you will get placement opportunity. But senior told me off campus placement preparation must be go on you will find good opportunity. Highest package is 12 lpa and average is 4 lpa is good for freshers.

Easy Money

Likes

Rhythm. It’s a cultural fest that this college hosts and it is the only time of the year where there’s a vast majority of events you could participate in.
TECHITHON. It’s a Tech fest that this college hosts and it has tech events which encourages students to grow and learn more as this aligns with our course.
Friends. The last and only good thing about this college I’d say are the friends I’ve made across the years.

Dislikes

Infrastructure. I’m not really a fan of the infrastructure that is being provided by this college.
Campus. The campus has many such areas that cannot be accessed by students and god knows for what reason.
Stupid Rules. One stupid rule i can think of is that students are not allowed to use their cell phones in the campus nor can the students use their headphones without being on their phones despite it being an Engineering college this makes no sense.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course currently is in high demand and this is the course which offers the highest percentage of placements. Computer Engineering is the fundamental course one could pursue if they want to get into technology. We currently have 2 Internal Exams in each semester which prepares us well for the semester.

college have some students water issue for drinking

Our course is the most important thing in learning and for growth, but the way my college is handling it , is far too better to be compared. Every week an exam is arranged for each chapters, Mcq's , theory and oral-based exams are arranged.

Hello, The infrastructure of the college is top class.
Their are multiple events in the college every month.
The faculty of the college are also well experienced as well as very friendly.

Dislikes

There are no AC in all the class only some of the class have AC

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage in my college is nearly 70-80%. The minimum package offered is 2.5 LPA and the highest is nearly 33 LPA . The average package is 4-5 LPA. Many companies vists are college as our college is NAAC accredited which has a grade of A+.

Likes

Staffs were quite supportive and helpful.
Good faculty. They helped throughout semester and taught well.
There were placements from beginning of 4th year. So, it was quite good for me.

Dislikes

I don't liked the college campus. It's under construction. Hope will become better some day.
No events , no tech fests. No excitement
Good companies offering higher packages not visited college.

Placement Experience:

Companies started sending their placements form to college groups from starting of the 7th semester. For particular branches, particular companies visited. Many companies send their placement forms this year. But each selected a max of 2-3 candidates only. In the strength of 76, 15 got placed on campus this year. Selection rates or placements criteria were too low.

One of the best colleges in Maharashtra

Remarks:

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
