My University Review

My journey with Kurukshetra University has been a roller coaster ride, where I learned a lot, met some of the best people, had a lot of fun and moreover established a solid base for my future aspirations. I want to work in the stock market sector and the B. Com. program from KU prepared me all the basic knowledge necessary to pursue that trade.

Our curriculum was neatly crafted. During my three-year tenure, I studied subjects like financial accounting, corporate tax, economics, company law, auditing, business management, etc. Exams are usually conducted at the end of each semester. We also have to give internal exams that are considered for our final evaluation.

My course fee was 5k only for every semester. My tuition fee, examination fee, registration fee, etc are covered in this fee. In total, I paid around 30K for the entire course which is pretty feasible for a bachelor's program from a college with such a rapport. On top of that, they provide pretty decent facilities for the students.

Our campus life was pretty electric and happening. We had a lot of cultural and extra-curricular activities going right there on the campus. We learned a lot and made friends for life. Hostel life was lit, be it the late-night study sessions or the pranks pulled on the fellow batchmates. Geeta Mahotsav, Republic day, Gandhi Jayanti, Lohri, and endless other festive celebrations are a crucial part of the curriculum.

Separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls are offered within the campus. There are 12 boys hostels that are within the campus, near the main market, post office, and SBI at Kurukshetra University campus. The location of these hostels is specifically designed in order to make the girls feel safe and protective there.

Admission to the program is pretty simple and basic. I visited the college and purchased the application form. I submitted the form with the academic details. A merit list is prepared on the basis of class 12 marks and students are shortlisted for admission on those bases. I opted for this college because it is one of the finest colleges in Ludhiana and my cousins did their higher studies from here only.

We shared a pretty deep bond with our faculty members. They all are very much qualified and had a plethora of teaching experience. They explained things in a lot of detail and specifically from a practical perspective. The teaching methodology is unique here. Classroom teaching would either involve ppts or case study analysis.
