Remarks

There are a couple of positives. The placements are great, the crowd is diverse and the fests are fun. But along with that there are a lot of negatives. The mentality of people here is extremely old-fashioned and obsolete. Girls live a very strict life with a curfew varying from 6 pm to 9 pm. The admin does not do the work required. And despite having horrible faculty we have to sit in their class due to an 80% attendance criteria rule. Warangal is a 3.5 hours road journey from Hyderabad so travelling is a pain

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is good. Not that extensive, though I wish it were. It covers everything you need to know but nothing above and beyond to separate you from the rest. The exam structure is fairly basic. Halfway through we have mid examinations and at the end of the semester we have end exams. Somewhere interspersed in the middle we have two tests.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements and job opportunities are very very good, here at NITW. You sit for internship placements at the start of your 3rd year and job placements at the start of final years. All multinational big companies come and recruit from our college.

College Events

3

We have 2 annual fests in our college. One is a technical test and the other a cultural one. They’re conducted at a massive scale with a lot of budget, events and even shows by Bollywood celebrities. Students from a couple of other colleges also come to attend these festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure varies according to the category you belong to. A lot of students do not pay any fees at all. They study for free. But the other students, from the general category, have to pay a reasonable sum. In fact, the fees is on the lower side. Further they give scholarships to meritorious students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The institute offers a merit scholarship to students who’ve performed well only based on their CGPA. 10% of the batch gets this scholarship. There are other scholarships too, however they are usually for backward categories or families with lower incomes.

Campus Life

3

The labs are A compulsory Part of the course. I personally think our labs need upgrades because the equipment is old and faulty and all the faculty incharges are inexperienced. The worst facilities are assigned to labs and they don’t know how to perform these experiments. We’re somehow expected to know how to do them ourselves and then write a record of every experiment for no reason. Other extra curriculars include sports, which does exist though not at a large scale. Dance, music other hobbies are all catered to by student run clubs. They’re a very big part of our college and do great!

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The hostel situation is the worst. Especially for a girl. The worst part is administration does not let any girl let the rest of the world know how bad the hostels are. Girls are pushed in 4 or 5 people in a cramped room, with all sorts of insects, fans not working, window not closing. The bathrooms are all broken, not cleaned, and the flushes don’t work. There is algae in the water due to lack of cleaning of the tank. There are snakes and frogs living in your room. The conditions are uninhabitable.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they’re helpful. I’m still to learn about the alumni network, but my immediate seniors or the seniors who have gotten placed have always been incredibly helpful about their experiences in college, placement season, exams etc.

Admission

The admission process is only through your JEE Mains scores. After you write the JEE Mains paper, you are given a rank list and based on that you get admission. However there are reservation of seats for other socially backward categories as well as for people belonging to the home state ie Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

Faculty

3

The faculty is where I believe the college is lacking. Most of them, I’m sure, are extremely knowledgeable, though some are not, but almost all of them don’t know a thing or two about teaching. The quality of teaching is subpar and the truth is that you have to learn everything from YouTube videos or teachers online. The worst part is because of the attendance rule, you still have to sit through class and waste your time not understanding anything. The teachers are egotistical and cannot take feedback

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is relevant because we are not just studying theory all the time. Along with regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects and problem solving which actually feels useful. It feels like the course is designed to help us build skills that we will need later not just clear semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.

Placement Experience:

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
