Remarks
One good college to be cherished. I will be missing my college since I will be completing my degree in 2020 and though I am going to college now I am attending my internship. My college taught me so many good things in life. My college is a very very disciplined one which I realised after visting other colleges. I recommend my college to my juniors who are really deterministic to gai knowledge and get job offers.
Course Curriculum Overview
My college is an autonomous college. Since autonomous college, the course curriculum and syllabus are decided by my college. Ours is choice based credit system (CBCS). It is where we need to select one course from the given list of courses and we need to select the faculty for that course. We have two internals tests and one objective test, whose marks are considered for cgpa calculation. The final semester exam correction will be done in our college since autonomous and it is taken in account for cgpa calculation.
Placement Experience
The placement in my college is too good even excellent as compared to many many colleges in coimbatore. Companies come to our colleges from the begining of our seventh semester like on the month of May itself. The placement training is startes from second year itself which is one thing to be appreciated. Internships are provided to students who are really knowledgable from the sixth semester itself. I am in internship from my seventh semester. We can gain more knowledge there and it feels so good. The stipend will be according to the company which we are going. Stipend for me is 10,000.
College Events
My colleges conducts symposiums for each departments. Fine arts club(FAC) conducts many cultural events. There are many clubs in my college. Tamil mandram conducts events for college as well as school students. English literary club conducts events for school and college students. Photography, coin collection, stamp collection and so many events are conducted in my college. Many sports events are conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is feasible in my college as compared to other colleges. The fees is not too expensive, it is reasonable. It gets included for the note books they provide. We can use labs any time we need. We can use the digital library there to gain knowledge.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college provides alumni scholarship for students who are from really not good background. Every year they select some students from each department and they provide scholarship to those students. We can apply for loan too.
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities especially sports is very very good in my college. They give lot of importance to sports. As I am a volleyball player, and I am one of the team members in my college I know how sports is given importance. The best outgoing students award(BOS) is received by sports come academics , good performers.
Hostel Facilities
No I have not opted for hostel. I am a day scholar. The hostel is good compared to other colleges. The facilities like power, wifi, water are available all the time. The food is also eatable. Not bad like in many others. These are the reviews given by my friends about our hostel. Very much safer.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni are very much active. They conduct seminars and other events to make the students aware of current trends. They come and teach the students how to participate in many events like hackathons and technical events. They help us gain practical knowledge by helping us in our projects, teaching us. They ahare their experience in their placement and tell us how to overcome each sitiations and how to handle or balance everything.
Admission
I have applied for anna university counselling after getting 12th standard results. They have alloted a date for me to attend the counselling in chennai. I need to select 2 to 3 colleges that i want to get admitted along with the course i need to join. According to the availablility of seats, a seat will be booked on the basis of my priority which i have given. I got ECE in SREC. I visited the SREC within the date that is mentioned in allotment letter from anna university. I paid the fees and I got admission there.
Faculty
The faculties in my college are good in their knowledge about the subject. Some faculties are very friendly and kind. We can approach any faculty regarding the subject. The faculties help the students regarding their projects, encourage the students to participate in hackathons, other events.
