One of the best Private colleges

The college life is wonderful , focus on academics is more than it should be , this creates a race to score well instead of focusing on whats more important than wrote learning that is skillz, this is the major problem with most of indian colleges except IIT maybe.

The course is up to date based on Trinity college (Dublin) and its updated every year. New subjects are introduced and old ones are either updated or removed, its based on practical professional practice Followed in real world thats true for my branch i cant say abt the rest.

The placements are good there are many people who get placed at Microsoft ,Apple and even Cisco for different branches and interest fields. MNC recruit for internships too but of security field there are almost no internships companies which is sad.

There is spades which is an inter year sports competition. Then saturnalia fest , where they call indian stars and party hard. Then again ignite which is an inter hostel sports fest for all sports and the list goes on.

Fees is really high and its expensive its like 20 lakhs in total for 4 years u can get 8 lakhs off by means of scholar ship and but still its expensive. This is the fee u have to pay for private college i guess.

Thapar offers variety of scholarship ranging from the poor students to top scholars and even for JEE mains toppers which range anywhere between 1lakh Rs to 3 lakh Rs each semester top 10% student of a branch is selected.

The college life is very happening , great many sport fests and competition are organizing both inter and intra college for all years , even inter hostel and inter year too. Labs are plenty and they building is excellent.

There are all tiers of hostels and the rate depend accordingly for 4 star service its the best hostel u can get but the histel life will not be good without friends , hostels usually follow an inverse curve where money , facilities are inversely proportional to college life but directly to comfort.

The alumni network is strong and wonderful only because of Mr.Sanjay Gupta who has really great connection and have maintained them. So each and high position alumni is connected via him also on the alumni connect app and network.

On the basis of JEE Mains, i scored good marks which got me into one of india best 15 colleges and world rank under 500, i opted for computer science due to sheer interest, although the competition here is huge but so are the opportunity.

Faculty level for the first year is very poor , only some are good, as we go higher the level increase exponentially as senior pro teachers teach only 3rd or 4th year student apart from there research they help the students separately by taking out extra time too.
