Remarks

The best part I like about our college is its campus which is green and eco friendly. A few improvements which I think is required is with respect to the infrastructure of the science labs and pg hostel. The management is well organized and helpful. All t

Entrance Preview

CET-15,000 ranking. I was always passionate about pursing a career in pure science so I took up B.sc in biotech after which I went on to do my M.sc in biochemistry in the same college. I was never interested in opting for engineering or medical like majority of the science students after PU. I choose this college in particular because of the amazing blend it provides between studies and extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very well spread out into different semestersso that we get a clear knowledge of what we are studying.since my course is biochemistry I have various subjects ranging for molecular biology to pharmaceutical chemistry.I find the curriculum to be distributed well and really helpful in the career point of view.

Internships Opportunities

Since mine is a science subject we are usually not given stipend's for internship. A number companies offer internship's to us such as Hindustan unilever. I worked in a company called azyme last summer for a Month and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. I learned a lot through that internship.

Placement Experience

3

Our course started last year so ours is the first batch here and hence I would not be able to answer this question. However there are lot of companies such as Goldman Sachs, target, biocon, IBM etc which recruit people from the commerce and science backgrounds. These companies usually offer a salary package varying from 20,000 up to 50,000 per month.

College Events

4.5

There are a lot of events taking place in our college. Each week there is an event happening associated with various departments. The main and the most biggest event is espendida which happens every year.it is carried out for 3 days and several college's in and around Bangalore attend this fest. It is one of the best fest's organized in Bangalore. Hundreds of participants are seen each year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a little expensive compared to the Government universities. My fees was around 45,000 which is usually around 25,000 in other universities. I think reducing the fee structure a liitle would be more feasible as this will help people from the poor background also to study in these colleges. Apart for this issue the college is brilliant.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not that aware of the scholarship's as such. But I do think there are scholarships offered to the backward classes and children from army background. Various scholarships have been sponserd by the college as well as well, wishers and alumini of this college. Each subject topper is give scholarship of a particular amount and the principal also gives cash prizes to deserving students.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life in our college is awesome. A lot of opportunities are provided to participate in a variety of events. It is a feminist college and no racism or caste discrimination is seen. Hostel parties are conducted once in 3 months and all the hostilities are given a chance to participate and organise the events.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are good. However few improvements regarding the food and toilet can be made. Mine is a two member sharing room. The fee structure was 80,000 per year including the mess fee.

Alumni/Alumna

Our college has produced various role models such as Nirupama Roy, Kiran majumdar Shaw, Deepika padukone, Anushka Sharma, Ashwini ponnappa etc who continue to inspire the nation.

Exam Structure

It is a little hectic especially with all the record work having to be done. The internals are usually help twice on a semester filled immediately by the practical prefinals and finals which sometimes can be too much to handle. The exam structure is split

Faculty

4.5

The faulty is very helpful and approachable. They put in a lot of effort in organizing various seminars and other important workshops, They support us through all our problems especially with our thesis. They Use modern teaching materials such as projecto

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
