NAAC accredited A+ college with potential for excellence. Also it is an autonomous residential college. only for boys this is a good college only for boys and girls is not allowed only not allowed means for the student and colleges only for that boy student only but no negative remarks is there everything is positive remarks is a good college and it is the owner of the top 10 best college in the India also in our state West Bengal

Course Curriculum Overview

It have semester system. 2 semester per year in between each semester there are a mid semester also to check urself how much u prepared for upcoming exam except that class test is also there.

Placement Experience

Student are get job and opportunities for higher studies by their own hard work college faculties r help their students to achieving their highest aim and ambition, they also give you the suggestions support and help u to find ur desired path

Fee Structure And Facilities

Cheaper than any other college, fees will varying with the subject, it is an autonomous residential college, so if u r a student of this college then u have to stay in college hostel ,but that also cheaper.

There are some scholarship schemes allotted by state governments & central governments, our college is eligible for that scholarship, rather than in our college itself has a two or three scholarship schemes. Fees structure is cheaper than any other so no need to take a loan

Extra curricular activity show in a college we have a big round for football also for the cricket ground is there also we have three volleyball court with which we used to play in there in evening also every hostel there is a table tennis court also Karam is there also gym is there for the boys. Likes

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

The faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable after class for doubts and guidance, which helps a lot during exams.
The college has a disciplined academic environment with regular classes and practical sessions. Laboratories are functional and help students understand concepts through hands-on learning.
The campus environment is calm and student-friendly. Various seminars, cultural programs, and academic activities help in overall personality development.

Dislikes

Industry exposure and internship guidance are minimal, which could be improved to make students more job-ready after graduation.
Infrastructure can be improved, especially classrooms and laboratory equipment. Some facilities feel outdated and require modernization.
Placement opportunities for BSc students are limited. The college focuses more on academics, so students need to prepare for higher studies or competitive exams on their own.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Likes

I like the campus , it is quite huge and green , the canteen has both cooked and packed food available, a seperate common room for students and many sports equipment available. Several functions are arranged along with international conferences held
All the faculty members are soft spoken , knowledgeable and friendly, it is easy to find help regarding anything.
Professors are strict about their syllabus and subjects , paying proper attention to the students. Practicals classes are conducted without fail.

Dislikes

There is nothing as such that I disliked because I am a first year student so I haven't been so much involved yet , I think that the washrooms should be cleaned properly to maintain the hygiene apart from thjs everything is fine.

Subjects offered in the college as well as the minor and idc subjects are well adhered to the curriculum and future aspects. The subject combinations are apt and futuristic. It moderately prepares one for real world situations.

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

Likes

The admission process was very smooth, the administration board is very helpful.
The library is huge and the content of books is very good
College life and fests are good but not great

Dislikes

Placements are absolutely bogus. There were almost no good placements when i passed out part of it can be blamed on covid but mostly the college was largely at fault
Faculty was not upto the mark in regards to the hefty college fees we were charged
Even during covid online classes we were charged full fee which is again absolutely horrendous

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Examination Questions And Syllabus are good.
Faculties and Facilities are good enough.
College and evaluation system is good enough.

Dislikes

Timings of examinations per semester is reduced.
Examination centres are given far away from college.
Fees is little bit Higher for many poor students.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Other than this, I applied for St. Xavier's and Scottish Church college. I didn't get in due to the required marks in class 12th and had my chance at Scottish Church but chose this college because of recommendations from previous alumnis and due to the prestigious legacy of this college. There are two rounds of admission in Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira. First is the written test which you apply through their website and registering yourself as the candidate and the second round is the interview where both the departmental teachers and administration faculty introduce you to the faculty and test your capability to be an asset to the department as well as your commitment to be in this college. My true temple- Vidyamandira

The primary reason for shoosing this college is for its quiet and study friendly enviorenment that it offers. Set awaay from the chaotic city and having river ganges at it's side, the ambience is very peaceful and supportive. Other major pros include that there is no scene of ragging or bad behaviours of seniros. They are very friendly and cooperative. There is an anti ragging cell ensuring that such crimes are not commited in the premises. Strict discipline is maintained in the college premises and students sheldom break rules. This makes working and studying much more synchronised and effective here. Talking about admissions, there are admission testa taken for each subject, and an interveiw department wise are taken.
