Remarks

The positive thing is GCT is a college full of freedom, students are allowed to their wish. Which allows them to grow their thinking. The negative thing is the infrastructure is in the need of improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm doing my UG in electronics and instrumentation engineering it's a fast growing branch on engineering which is a base for artificial intelligence.The exam structure is based on Anna university's 2018 regulation

Placement Experience

The placement activity is good and the college is visited by lot of companies yearly. They provides us with a good package of salary if we can satisfy their needs. Our college doesn't provide internship, they allow students itself search for companies

College Events

Our college has lot of clubs like tamil mandram, LDS,SAC.ETC each of clubs has their separate functions club activities Which has been a good entertainment for we people's we enjoy a lot those things.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a government college the fees structure is always feasible which been a great advantage for students to study in this college. The fees structure is very low when compared to private colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides us with number of scholarships. There is BC,MBC and SC, ST scholarships provided by our college. There is sbi bank in our college which provides us students loans for education Which is help full for us

Campus Life

GCT is a college meant for extracurricular activities there are lot of events,functions,clubs in our college the lab section has a separate non teaching staff members for maintenance. I'm a member of gct hockey association which is a proud thing

Alumni/Alumna

They are like our brothers they guide us teach us. The alumni association provides us an scholarship which been helpful for us The alumni association arrange's a sports meet as alumni trophy which is an intercollege competition.

They are well qualified. They know our needs. Most of them are doctrates. They work hard to make our future bright.Most of the facilities are alumini of the same college so they know students mind set.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

The network connectivity in girls hostel is poor
The food at mess is average sometimes it is not taste
The practical labs are help at distance.

Placement Experience:

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

Dislikes

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students
College provide only theoretical knowledge students for practical skills

Likes

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

Ncc is my favourite .I makes me discipline human being .

It's like Schools .There will be special class if you didn't get much marks like schools .

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

Academic, campus life & beyond

Since I'm north indian i didn't know much about the college. Now while I'm studying in it. It's very boring for me because there is no campus life maybe there is for Tamil people or who knows Tamil language but for me it's very boring.
