Proud to be part of MBA-Urban Management & Governance program

I had a wonderful experience at XUB. Two years of MBA were more than just academics, it made me learn life lessons. I am really proud to be part of the MBA-Urban Management & Governance program under the Xavier school of Human settlements.

The course curriculum is designed in such a way that there is an overall growth of the student in regular management subjects like marketing, operations, strategy, finance, and human resources management with that the domain subjects made us learn and understand the urban spatial diaspora in a very efficient manner. We also have elective subjects that a student chooses out of his or her choice to get a holistic understanding of Urban management & governance.

Business Events, Leadership talks, Colloquium, Business conclaves, Research summits, Immersion Courses by leading professionals, Habitat Planning & Public Ethics Seminar, Samavesh: the Urban Management Conclave. There are numerous sports events, cultural events, and other activities happening all around the year. The annual cultural management fest Xamboree is one of the biggest B-schools events in eastern India.

Availed education loan through the normal bank process. I am confident that I will repay the loan soon.

Campus life is full of pomp and show. Extracurriculars are arranged by student committees on a regular basis. Many festivals are celebrated in the campus. I along with all of my friends felt sad while leaving the campus after the two years of good life spent there.

The hostel facility is very good except for some usual food quality complaints. Per year Hostel room rent is 40,000/- for a single room and 30,000 for double sharing. The playground, Gymnasium, ad other sports facilities are matching with other top B-Schools in India. Recently an international centre has been inaugurated with international standards of hostels.

The alumni network is quite strong. Alums visit campus to share their industry experience which helps the students to get industry-ready.

The admission process is quite smooth over here. After we receive the final admission letter there is a time frame of more than 1 month for fee deposit. Then on the induction day, the staff and student teams guide us for all paperwork to be done regarding induction. The classes started in June 2018.

Faculty over here are highly experienced and sensitized to deal with management students. They focus on the overall learning of a student by a mixture of classroom study, studio work, and field assignments which increases the confidence of a student.
