Remarks

College is only business oriented not student oriented. Student overall development is not focused much. College is mainly focused to build its own image irrespective of promoting students. Overall the College is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is quite good. There are well modified labs and we have breaks at frequent intervals. Exams are not much tough as the College goes on according to the university guide and rules. The syllabus is not vast as we see through per semester.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are there but all I could say is that the placements are not for all. Mainly companies are coming on pool campuses so the competition is there. Yeah College provides internship to all the students in the final year as a compulsion.

College Events

We have annual fest yagvik and freshers aagman. Also we have sports fest. Sports fest had started recently but freshers and cultural fest took place annually. Also we have tech fest open for all the Colleges toh show the talent in robotics, programming, tech quiz etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is feasible. It's not too much high as we see on semester basis. The average fee of the College for b tech in 4 years must be around 45000 per semester. There is no such hostel fees as my College doesn't have in campus hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

The College has scholarship facilities for only locals and muslim candidate. There is no such provision of scholarship for general students. No College doesn't provide any kind of loan system. But it accepts the fees through loan system.

Campus Life

College provides opportunities for extra curricular activities in the form of cultural fest, freshers and sports fest. All of them are equally great in terms of opportunities and gender basis. There is no such gender restrictions. Yes College too provides seminar session on social issues. There is no such provision for politics inside College.

Alumni/Alumna

No there is no such alumni network. College doesn't provides the alumni association with passout seniors. So there is no such help from them. There is no such interaction with any of the seniors about the corporate world.

Admission

This College has best faculty in the field of ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING. Teachers here are well specialized in their respective field of discipline. Also the College is having a great ambience for education.

Faculty

Faculty of the College are mainly with good degrees like PhD and Mtech. So their experience are of great use. We have mentors for a certain group of students which took care about everything like attendance and problems if any one is facing.

IIT KHARAGPUR honest review

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Good Internship Opportunities

Likes

Helpful Faculties, the faculties over here helped us through out the course
Good clean and green campus with water supply at different places in the campus
Structured syllabus for industrial readiness in the curriculum

Dislikes

Nothing such I have disliked, but some classrooms projector did not functioned properly
Some time the guards unnecessarily behaved rude which I hated the most

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

BCREC a underrated college

Likes

In my batch there are 64 student and there is only 17 girls.so the girl boy ratio is good.
This college has the largest campus of all the college in the West Bengal so college campus is really good
As I am a student of information technology so they are teaching me the course subject and also soft skill subjects that can help me in my placement journey

Dislikes

The college is located in rural area which is the bad thing
The course curriculum is not at the level of IIT NITs as we are studying some subjects which are introduced in the late semester which IIT and it and study in their second or third semester
The third thing I don't like is that the Student of the college discriminate among each other like the local residents who are bengali's day prefered their friend as Bengali

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

Review of Techno International NewTown

Likes

The college provides a moderately good infrastructure so it is more or less good. However some lab equipments have gotten old so upgrading those would be appreciated.
The teachers and students are very friendly so interacting is very easy. Teachers are mostly experienced and quite knowledgeable in their field of expertise. However the college follows the curriculum suggested by makaut which feels outdated.

Dislikes

The college doesn't give any options to play anything in college in their free time so that's an issue in my opinion. Also college isn't keen on giving NOCs for internships. Also they don't tend to provide funding to projects developed by students.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

mostly from end of third year students start getting campus placements and companies like TCS AND WIPRO HIRE MAJORITY of the students. The average package is 450000 and highest package every year goes upto 9-12 lakhs per annum. I want to go into core Electronics domain for which I am preparing for masters as no core electronics companies come in this college

GOOD College at low fees.

Likes

The campus is very big of the college which is about 50 acres and very greenly campus
The events and clubs with sports held in campus is very good and very happening
The placement opportunities in this college is very good and the faculties are very supportive

Dislikes

The infrastructure is bit old and renovates it bit very late which impact in bit difficulty
The senior are very supportive but at the same time they are very strict regarding the discipline which they call it ragging
The location of the college is bit outside of the main city so you can find it bit difficulty in your starting days of living here

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

lab circumtances are lightly good.we can share our opinion their.
use of projector is very helpful for us .
faculties behaviour is good ,they are quite helpful toward us.

Dislikes

small area campus is that what I do not like
canteen facilities are not good enough .
small space library are not enough for all students

Placement Experience:

after 6th sem those students who scored above 7 CGPA are eligible for campus placements. name of companies- TCS,Campgemini,Accenture,Delloite etc. average package -320000 70 percent most of students got placed. I want to job at IT sector after getting the degree.

Fair college according to me

Likes

The college management is really up to the mark. I am from the computer science and engineering department.
Good placements according to the amount you pay.
Good environment for coding and development.

Dislikes

There are a lot of extra clubs which are not so functional.
Hostels are good but not up to the mark .
The play ground is available but not inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

Our college provide really good placements if the student is really eligible for employment. There are adequate no. Of companies visiting the campus. Some big companies are - MICROSOFT, LAB VANTAGE, DELTAX, RTCAMP, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, IBM, MUSIGMA, TIGER ANALYTICS, KEY SIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, KEYENCE, MANIKARAN POWER, TCS, E&Y etc. The highest package is around 20 lpa and the avarage is around 5 - 6 lpa. Placements are better for cse, it and ece. The core branches have mediocre placements.

The library system is good. With many authors and writers available.
The faculty is helpful and coperative.The faculty helps the students in their studies and day to day problems faced in the college.
The classrooms are enough big to accommodate the strength chosen by the faculty.

Dislikes

The labs are not very well equipped. The monitors and PC are back dated versions.
The washrooms are not very well maintained and they stink.
The faculties are not very helpful in the project work and personal academic life of the students.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students are allowed to sit for placement. Tcs, wipro, Capgemini are the mass recruiters of our college. Other companies visit as well Deloitte, accenture and many more. The average package being is 4 lakhs per annum and the highest being around 10 lakhs per annum.

Average Makaut college with no placements.

Likes

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.

Well I had a drop year and I got this college at first round of counselling so took admission here. Apart from this I had appeared for exams of other colleges as well like Manipal, VIT, SRM but didn't choose them as those are far from home and were much more expensive than my current college. I had also appeared for BITS but couldn't clear their cutoff. In my current college they take direct admission based on wbjee rank, from counselling as well as management quota. The most preferred exam is wbjee and the admission process is very easy and the people in the admission cell are really helpful. Fair college according to me

I had applied to TMSL , Heritage and NSEC. I got Cse in NSEC and TINT. I choose this college due to its location. Moreover this college is much better presently the nsec and tmsl because of many reasons. Mainly because of its latest naac accreditation with B++ grade. I applied to a lot of colleges in India including BITS Pilani, symbiosis, ViT, KiT,and many other.. many colleges approved me as i cleared almost 90% of these college exams. But due to some family issues i couldn't leave Kolkata and had to choose this college as it is under makaut( Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University) . It is a board. Techno international Newtown selects students based on WB jee or JEE marks. All India exams. The admission process is easy.. there are different cut off for different streams. Like Computer science engineering cut off is about 80.. like wise IT is 65, ECE 50 . And others below that. The admission has to be done in college itself. 3 campus are there.. techno international Newtown, techno university and techno Main Salt Lake. Techno university and techno Main are located in Salt Lake itself. The admission cut off is different for every college. The admission process is also different for each of them.
