A good college, worth joining. Specially you get the NIT tag. And placement is also fairly good. With average on campus placement salary being around 7 lakhs per annum. Also the college atmosphere is very good, it's a compulsory boarding college making it easier for students to avail all the facilities provided by the college at anytime.

The courses curriculum is apt to the present situation. Exam is divided into 3 parts. Firstly there's a mid semester exam of 25 marks, secondly internal exam of 15 marks and finally end semester exam of 60 marks. On an average there are 2 to 3 labs a semester, each lab having 3 hours a week. And 5 subjects per semester.

Placement scenario is good. Internships are provided by the college. And companies do come for taking students for internships, pre placement offers are also provided to some students. Companies come for on campus recruitment also.

There is a technical fest Aarohan, a cultural fest Recstacy, another cultural fest Virasat, an entrepreneurial fest -E summit annually held every year. Apart from this other small budjet fests are also organised by different clubs formed by the student body in the College.

The fee structure is as follows - for 2nd semester students. As a part of the semester registration fee. A scholarship is available for students whose annual income is less than ninety thousand rupees. Students need to fill up a form asking for the same and given an exam. Qualifying which they will be given the scholarship amount. Also students whose family income is less than 5 lpa get a fee waiver.

Around more than 15% students are female. There are many students clubs under different bodies like cultural, technical, non technical,and entrepreneural. These clubs organise various events and workshops. Workshops and seminars are also organised by the college itself on various topics. All cultures of India is represented in the students community. There's a 50% seat for west bengal students And rest for outside state students.

There's a CAAIR, centre for allumni affairs and international relations body, that maintains continuous contact with alumni. Allumni come to deliver motivational speech. Seniors are helpful and extend full support in any regard.

I had chosen the integrated dual degree course so as to reduce the years of study from 4+2 to 5 years. Admission is based on Jee main rank followed by Jossa counselling where you need to fill up your preferences and seats will be awarded on the basis of preference and Jee Main rank.

All facilities are phD degree holders having a fair enough knowledge about the subject material. They are interested in reasearch work. Faculties explain the course curriculum very nicely and are ready to clear all the students' doubts.
