Remarks

I'm happy being a part of this one of the most prestigious colleges in India. Positive remarks would be definitely on the faculty and the teaching staff. Another good thing about the college is that the hospital is within the campus,so we can easily go to our postings in the hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course's total duration is 5-1/2 years including internship, and we have to pass out all the subjects unlike engineering colleges there is no option of having backlogs if we fail in our exams, and so have to pass all the exams without fail. During the course, which is pretty chill during the regular days, and have exams every semester (6months) which are held by the college itself and the finals are held by the University every 3-5 semesters (no. of sems change every year ). Labs are also pretty informative.

Placement Experience

4.5

Being a medical profession, internship is a must for everyone after the course. after which we'll receive our degree. Gandhi hospital which is under state government is just beside the college, and every one is posted in that hospital during the course, in the internship we have a choice to go to other private hospitals (by paying fees instead of receiving money).

College Events

4.5

Cultural events held are -Ganesh chaturthi, Annual fest, and a technical event named AEGIS -(Annual edition of Gandhi's inter medical symposium). The fest has several programs including sports, movie nights, shortfilm competition, dandiya night,dj night. AEGIS is a medical symposium which is very informative regarding many things and new inventions and researchs in a fun way.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is quite Feasible. Per year it is around 15,000-20,000 rupees. It includes all the fees including sports, library, tuition, cultural etc. For the first year of the course it costs about 16000? and for the second year as it is a bit longer (18months) the fees is 21000?.

Fees and Financial Aid

Epass scholarship provided by the state government for the economically weaker sections is availed by many students. The college doesn't offer any loan facilities. We need to apply for the scholarship everyyear by showing the previous year's marks card in the online website. A scholarship offered by the alumni association is also there.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio - males are dominated by the females by nearly half the total members. There aren't any student parties in our college. The strength of each class is 200 so there is a lot of diversity among the students and no discrimination among anybody. Everybody is friendly and helpful.

Hostel Facilities

4

If one is interested in staying in the hostel provided by the college, we can opt for it at the beginning of the year. The hostel fees is 10,000 rupees. Excluding the mess fees, which would cost around 2500? per month.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a alumni association in our college. They are very helpful and keep providing support to the College. They distribute aprons and stethoscopes, and give scholarships to the new coming students everyyear. The seniors help us in every step, they guide us during our exams clear our various doubts.

Admission

After completing intermediate 2nd year,i had to take an entrance exam called NEET, i qualified and got a seat in Gandhi medical College secunderabad. I could choose between Dental- BDS,and MBBS, so i chose MBBS in the online counseling (web options)held soon after the results came out. And i received a mssg after few days from the knruhs University to which my college is affiliated, saying i got a seat in Gandhi medical College-gmc. I had to pay the University fees and the college fees inorder to get the admission.

Faculty

4

Gandhi medical College being one of the best College in Telangana state (ranks 16th all over India) is best known for its faculty and teaching. The professors, assistant professors, pgs among others are helpful and show great interest in teaching the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is CBME approved, so there's no need to worry about the curriculum. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has introduced a new Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum for the MBBS program in India. This curriculum focuses on practical, patient-centric learning, integrating subjects, and early clinical exposure. It emphasizes the development of specific competencies, such as clinical skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. The curriculum is divided into three phases: Foundational, Organ System-Based Clinical, and Clinical. Assessment includes continuous assessment, practical exams, theory exams, and OSCEs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is made according to our ability to grasp when we come out of our board exams. The first year might be considered a little touch but it in general is quite different and I personally enjoy studying it . Exams are a bit stressful but if a person has already studied then the tension gets distributed and it feels like nothing.
