Remarks
The University campus is very beautiful and the campus is very well maintained by the authority. The campus is very eco-friendly and the animals are also given safety by the authority. The campus is also having all the facilities like a hospital, gym, and beauty parlor.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is not that satisfying for physics students. We are studying the basic things only at the graduation level and the lab facilities for the undergraduate students are also poor. The exam structure is very much good as the things are done in a proper way always and there is no much delay in publishing the results also.
Placement Experience
Placements are there for the physics students. But it is not that wide and open. job opportunities are good since the university is a central-oriented one. Internships are offered for the students in post-graduation. Undergraduate students are not given the opportunity of Internships there themselves.
College Events
Physics department celebrates annually, a program named reflections in which scientific exhibitions, models, and there will be quiz competition as well as a painting competition for school students near our university also.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's somewhat feasible for us but there is a huge fee hike for the coming batches soon, they are offering us a stipend of 750 per month and the toppers of each exam is also given some amount of money per sem. But these are not given in a proper way as there is a lag in getting this.
Fees and Financial Aid
OBC post matric scholarship is given for the students who are in backward classes. University is providing a stipend of rupees 750 per month for each and every student whose income is below 2. 5 lakh. Other scholarships are also there.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are less as the student count is large and lab facilities are also not that satisfying especially for physics students. the instruments are not working properly and the students are studying with that itself.
Hostel Facilities
Each hostel is having a different infrastructure. Some are very old and some are so good also. each room can accommodate 2 people but the university offers 3 people a room. The hostel allotments are horrible as there is no proper channel for doing it.
Alumni/Alumna
I am not that much in contact with the alumni but their contributions and achievement are always a great inspiration for all of us who just started our physics careers. Seniors are always helpful for getting the study materials and all.
Admission
I wrote the entrance exam for the integrated courses at pondicherry university. I scored a rank of 114 in the entrance exam. I was on the waiting list as there were only 93 seats available. Later I got the admission without any delay. There were 3 courses in the school of science in which I opted for physics for my further study.
Faculty
Faculties are qualified in their own subjects. But the way of teaching of some of the faculties are not interesting as their classes are not interactive. some of the faculties will not teach things properly.
