JCE is one of those institutions which is not bordered with well-chosen brick and cement, but with the constant attention of a well-chosen dedicated set of people at all levels. Right from the ground level staff that take care of infrastructure and facilities extending to the pedagogy, the HODS and the upper management. Everyone shares a unified sense of brand identity.

The examinations are conducted per Anna university schedule and the evaluation within the college is a case by case scenario. Some staff evaluate well, some don't. But it is not a major worry, as this is the case in all educational institutions. As long as you study well, give your best, even a staff who doesn't evaluate well can't escape from rewarding the marks you deserve.

You have to earn your placement. The college can only arrange for placement, and that too depends on the quality of knowledge you develop when you study. Every passing out batch needs to come out with high scores, demonstrate quality in their respected companies which alone would attract different good companies to the college. As long as you work hard, work on improving your profile.

The frequency of these events varies, but to just list in no particular order Cultural, Sports Events, Seminars, Symposiums. The ability to manage academics and these activities is up to the smartness and efforts of the student. The staff assist you, provided you honour the primary expectations.

It is nominal. I am not sure if arrangements are in place to offer a scholarship for poor and qualified students, but otherwise, the chances of overcharging a student are alien to this college and they maintain standard fees protocol. The fees are usually affordable.

I showed my loan source, proof of my high scores, established my credential and also, the college is a reputed institution made it easy to avail my loan.

The primary focus is on education, getting a job. That being said, the college boasts of an enviable infrastructure, that nurtures the sports guys with sports facilities, geeks with technical assignments and mini-project opportunities, fun-loving guys with cultural events etc. So, everyone gets to have what they want, provided, they demonstrate discipline in attendance, exam scores and are respectful of the expectations of the college.

The quality of the students is a mixed bag, which is actually a selling point for them. It is not just meant for people with high scores, but with anyone who wishes to get the benefits out of a good education, who need support, provided they demonstrate character and sincerity. The management ensures there is a wholesome quality in student selection, staff quality, education quality.

I had a very high score of 97 % and a cut off of 192 in my 12th and through anna university counselling I voluntarily chose this college from the list of colleges I had, as this was inside the city and had a reasonable reputation in terms of education, facilities and placement.

It is not respectful to comment on the standards of teachers, as I am not comfortable. But what I can confidently tell is, in my time, there were some remarkable teachers and 1-2 poor staff. When we reported the poor staffs to the management, they respected our complaints and replaced the staff with a better one. However, the quality is generally good to very good.
