Remarks

The College is very good in terms of academics, sports and extra curricular, but the cost structure is very high. There is a special quota for Punjab region students which is 50% seats, so the quality of students has detoraited over the years

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is apt , as in 1st year , you are taught all the subjects of various different fields , to give the taste of engineering, so now we've got mechanical as well as electrical labs and also computer labs , which makes it hectic but also enjoyable , if you've got interest.

Placement Experience

4

I am in 1 at year , and still I got 2 internship offer with stipend of 7 k , because of internship fair held at our College. The highest package offered this year was 29 Lacs, from ENC branch. Overall the placement are good at even Core branches.

College Events

4.5

The College hosts best of the events every year. In technical there are national level Hackathons , Robotic car racing, drone making ,and In cultural we've got saturnalia in which celebs like Zakir Khan and Ritviz came. We organise Sur night , theatre night , dance championship, film festival etc and in management and economics we've got events like troubleshoot , the business lab , which test your brain to the fullest

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is expensive, and can't be afforded by middle class family without loan. The academic fees is 193200per semester, plus hostel fees is 27500 , plus mess fees of 16000. These figures are for 1st year only. As you go in advance years , the hostel and mess fees increase by around 10 to 12k

Fees and Financial Aid

The loans are given to the students on the basis of their combined JEE rank and board exam results in the first year of 80800, and from 2nd year , it is given on the basis of CGPA. The SBI is in campus, which provides education loan to students, with facility like quick loan disbursement.

Campus Life

4

The best part of this College are the extracurricular activities. There are many societies for every talent ranging from dancing, singing, theatre to film making to coding to car making to economics to student alumni cell. Several workshop are conducted every weekend of different societies, which are most times free. The campus is ragging free ,and there are senior junior interactive sessions held at hostels at night.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a society called student alumni interaction cell , which holds regular meeting of alumni , with students and the seniors always provide true feedback of what's good and bad in College. I talked with seniors and took EIC which is better than EEE, but the cutoff was high in EEE

Admission

I applied for JEE exam in 2019 and I got 88.7 percentile, so the best option available for me was this College. I got my seat in the 3 rd round , which was later upgraded in the spot round. I chose this course over others , as I had taken PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND MATHS IN class 12 , and the best option I had to do was to go for engineering plus I had great interest in exploring new things and concepts.

Faculty

4

The faculty over here is very good. Most of them have got their degrees from premium institutes like IITs and NITs , and the teacher student ratio is very less , so teachers can pay more attention, even to individual student.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
