There are more positive and negative as well. Now I'm working at Chennai. I can see how people at school and College are engaged and having exposure nowadays. They're having good exposure and getting placed in very good company when compared to us. Overall good.
Labs are frequent. My course is lab oriented. Course structure is both IT and management. Exam days were hectic. Clearing out the exams is the toughest way as well. Overall, it was good and well planned
There are no much or good campus drive at my College. They didn't provide us internship. If did, that may be interested,. I wish they could do those to keep students engaged, interested and it'll also be useful for them in future
Technical festivals are frequent but culturals are rare. But once they did fashion show which was hosted by famous RJ at the city. There ICM inter College meet, where other College students participate and IDM inter department meet
Expensive because they didn't provide campus drive. I paid around 40,000 per year it's worthless except what they taught. Most of them after graduation tried on their own and got job after many struggles.
I don't think they'll provide scholarship or loan facility. If arranged might be useful. I studied by self finance. By caste quota, I remember my friend got scholarship. And I don't know much about in detail
Culturals in one good. We'll play on our own. Sports students Will have all the equipments. Workshops were good. Farewell party is conducted every year end for seniotsy. That's good and there some interesting things like camp in NSS
I don't remember that much. We're not in contact mostly. The alumni coordination is bad. We don't even have contact with our own College friends. I would be nice if they organize a function with the entire alumnae within particular period like 14-19 pass out
I was having good percentage at school. Then, I chose to go in IT field. But I applied for both chemistry and IT. Got both but chose IT. Admission process took whole day. I felt I had lack of guidance inside College while admission. As a fresher, I didn't even know where to go what to do.
Faculities are the best in my College. Everyone is equally qualified for the role they play. They'll take in charge of everything they do. They'll never skipped anything that's hard for students to understand
From the 5th Semester, students are eligible for placement. Maximum 150 companies visit there every year for different Departments. I was selected in Visionary RCM as a medical coder 19k was starting pack. Minimum 60% of students got placements. For M.sc I am looking forward to higher study.
Malankara Catholic College, Mariagiri also provides Campus interview for all the interested students. Institute of International Auxiliary Language conducts a Campus interview for the final year interested candidates and many of the students are selected by the company. Some of the departments like Chemistry, MSW, BBA, B. Com etc conduct IVs and Seminars. The college also conducts motivational classes for the students. Apart from this, there is not many chances or hopes in providing placements or Jobs for the students by the college.
The factors that made me choose this college was it one of the leading college in Chennai for b.sc. And also the main reason for choosing this college was I don't want to go outside my hometown to do a college.Admission process in my course is based on the marks obtained in class 12th board.
Placement is good but not that much good in my course. Very reputed companies will come and will offer you good salary package. If you will work hard you will be placed in very good firms.
As for as college overall strength, I rank it as 8/10, academic wise, its good too. If you are interested in academics, you can join various academic related clubs, as far as culturals and fun, Ethiraj is known for it, you can join any club like theotro accordingly.
Admission to the Masters program is on the basis of merit list, prepared on the basis of the academic performance of the students in the graduation. Annual intake for the masters program is 36, which means there is a stiff competition for these seats.
The course structure is very vast and covered a wide area of topics and their in-depth analysis by the experienced faculty. It helped me create a very solid base for my future research program. I am very helpful to the college for the quality of education shared with us.
Always an nice college for the students attendance is not mandatory there only an 50? is enough to take our Hall tickets to the exam an good college and then any intercollegiate culturals means our hod itself permits to go and participate and motivate us very strongly
