Remarks

Good thing is Infrastructure and well maintained hostel but food quality is poor and all teachers are not well experienced

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a quick learner. So I have to ho college to understand everything. And as i go college i dont need to do as hard as normal students do. The exam structure are relevant i think. They have got so many things to make exam protective and transparent. I support my colleage for this great job they are doing.

Placement Experience

Company like Infosys, IBM etc came but not usually came with popularity but just wanna hire a talented one. They are doing great job in Placement.

College Events

Festival like Lori, and event like Mosaic, Freshers welcome. They are quite big because of the numbers of student out there of different faculty they come and support each other. The culture holds the theme of socity so yeah. it feels good to know about this question. I feel proud when i am part of that fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its feasible i think. Actually i am from Nepal so i have to pay at least 8/9 lac to college only excluding hostel fees. But in this college im paying 5.25 lac for this course which is competitively relevant. And higher quality of study. I think the college should focus on scholarships for Nepal also because there are so many Nepalese out there.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offered scholarship for Poor families. I think they also should giveon basis scholarships for 12 marks and in the intrance ranks.

Campus Life

There are so many things to do in life. Still to go gor the long journey but college didn't have that debates, quiz, robotics sometimes seminars are held but they came for only advertisements of themselves. Its sad part of our college Gender ratio may be Male 5: 3 Female

Hostel Facilities

Yes. I am in hostel. Hostel is quite interesting to live in this college. I think people are nice and well mannered. Excluding Food hostel is not that boring 3 psrson in one room with 3 bed, 2 fans 1 cooler 3 table and chairs.

Yes. seniors are helpful they act like thy are our friends. I love the way they helps on Gym and study

Admission

The environment. The Infrastructure and quality of lab. The college have everything they need including silence place for study and the weather also friendly. I want to be a Python Developer and i joint CSE to expand my knowledge on Computer. Computer science helps to society to introduce with new technology.

Faculty

Yeah college got good faculty and faculty members but sometimes I feel like we are not in our field subjects like Human Value/Philosophy are quite irrelevant to us. We just want to know more on computer like how CPU work. How processor work for CPU and built CPU but by the time we dont even prepare for exams. The assignments are too boring to do.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
