Review of Aliah University

Management neglects the Boys Hostel Facilities in the Humanity Campus.

Each Year consists 2 Semester and as my course is an Interegated one so totally it consists 10 semesters in Five Years. Yes PhD can be done in our University after completing Masters. There are various Departments in our University such as Engineering, Nursing, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, English, Geography,etc.

Placement is average in our University. Companies like Wipro, Amazon placed some of our Students and few other companies also gave placement. Humanity students are maximum placed into the Government Jobs.

International Seminars, Freshers Welcome, Annual Programme, Farewell, Reunion has been organised by the Departments. A Special Programme named Litmania has been introduced by the English Department specially which consists six clubs named Film Club, Drama Club, Debate Club, Book Reading Club, Quiz Club, Literary Club.

No so Expensive. For English Department the fee Structure is really low. For the Odd Semesters the Students have to Pay 1500 and for the Even 1200. Departments like the Science and Geography charges higher than the Language Departments. It is obvious because of the Practical Courses.

I have opted for the Swami Vivekananda scholarship which prodives 2000 a month which is really helpful.

Gender ratio is 1:1 and the Sports is organised each Year. There is a Fabulinus Cultural Society in the English Department.The Other Departments also have their Own Cultural Society. Politics is not so much highly practiced and there are a maximum number of Minority students.

No I have not opted for the Hostel because it is far from our Institute but the Hostel Facilities are really Good. 2000 Boys can stay in the Boys Hostel and for the Girls the number is 1500. Lifts are also Provided.

Alumni Group is not so much active. As I have not noticed any Curriculum that has been organised by the Alumni during the last 5 Years.

At First a Entrance Exam was held. I had to qualify that exam. That exam was taken by University Admission Board. 80 Multiple Choice questions were there and 2 Essay type questions was there as well. After qualifying the exam a Interview was taken place. After completing all the Procedures I finally got the Admission.

Each Department consists an average of 8 Professors and there average age is 40. They are Highly qualified with PhD and Post Doctorates. Few Professors holds various multiple degrees. Such as in English Department Few Teachers are both experts on Literature and Language.
