Xavier University Bhubaneswar - Pros with minimal Cons

In the end, it's a pretty decent University to get a degree from.And the infrastructure. Woah. With cases being regularly issued from Harvard Business School, the reputation & quality of education is pretty high.

The course structure is definitely pretty strict. It is pretty rigorous & the Professors here make sure that we take-in valuable lessons from our classes as they provide us with numerous assignments. The exams held here are kinda fine when it comes to comparing standards. As per research point of view, the course has been designed in such a way that it promotes further research.

The placement scenario here has always been 100% fulfillment with handsome packages. There's a seperate committee for placements led by top-notch Professors from various fields. This year the highest pay was offered by Ujjivan Small Finance Bank with 15.32LPA. The mean being 8.4LPA. The University sees footfall of companies such as Amul, PwC, Deloitte, Berger paints, HDFC Bank, ICICI bank, RBL Bank, UPL etc.

Our biggest Cultural-Management fest being Xamboree, a fest of 3 days including Cultural as well as Management oriented events. Followed by several other conclaves that are branch specific as well as several talks & Alumni meets.

Its kinda feasible for such a deal with the course fees being 14 Lakhs for 2 years & additional fees such as Hostel, mess, IT charges, etc round up for additional 2-3 Lakhs. So all around it costs us less than 20Lakhs with available Loan options.

Scholarship is rarely provided but if so, then only to students belonging to Chouristianity. Or else the University has tie-ups with several banks, the major being SBI- Fortune Towers that provide loans instantly with a legitimate interest rate.

We usually host block parties on an interval of every month. The party scene here is pretty sorted with people who believe in 'Work hard, party harder.'. Issues such as gender discrimination, religion, race etc. are intolerable here.

Yes. The Hostel here is pretty hygienic with top notch management. The food is also kinda okay-ish. The hostels are regularly cleaned. First years usually share their rooms with another person of the same gender. But in the 2nd year. Most of us prefer to stay in a single occupancy room.

We sustain because of the Alumni. That's all I can say. They provide us with immense support & help us with the placement process & also come-in for talks on several issues related to Management. They are the backbone.

I am currently a student of MBA - Rural Management. Well, I got into this University thourough XAT & cleared further Group Discussion & Interview round. I had already made up my mind to get into any reputed MBA college post my B.Tech degree. As a fresher, I had no idea about the majors of MBA & following my interest towards Rural Technology & etc. I went ahead to register into this course.

All of the faculty present here are highly qualified professionals holding Ph.D degrees from widely known reputed Universities, not only from this country but also from abroad. As said earlier, they rigorously focus on our learnings & make sure that we actively participate in class.
