Remarks

It's a state government University controlled by state educational controller.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Academic Curriculum is much better. But placement is not much satisfactory as it's a new institution established in 2015. But some renowned mass recruiters like TCS and other companies like tech Mahindra Scorpio amazon come every year for campus placements.

Placement Experience

1.5

To be honest, placements is not satisfactory. It's below average but day by day placement is improving. And placement cell working hard. No, the internship has not occurred for anyone yet.

College Events

1.5

If you talk about the cultural fest, actually no cultural fest occurred in this institution as it is mainly minorities' institution. So no puja festival held. But freshers are arranged every year in every department and annual ceremony, Sports ceremony also held here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a state government aided University so fees structure is very feasible. For BSc, physics fees is 7000 per year. No additional charge is taken from us. The mode of payment is by cash or online. the college provides transparency in the fee- breakdown. In terms of fees, it's a very good institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means scholarship, OBC scholarship, Nabanna Scholarship are available on the basis of the last final examination's score.

Campus Life

3

Campus Life is beautiful. Male to female ratio 2:1. Extracurricular activities not much satisfactory compare to other institutions.labs are very good modern and scientific. Sports in the afternoon in the campus. Generally, minority students take admission in this institution.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful. The alumni associations also help the newcomer. But sometimes seniors behave harshly so you should be careful.

Admission

BSc physics is a very good course in terms of future scope. Generally, minorities opt for this institution. Totally anti-ragging campus. Admission is done through the AUAT entrance exam. Merit list is descending order of score in AUAT and some weightage of 12th score. At last councelling.

Faculty

3.5

15 lecturers for our Bsc physics course. They all are young with an average age between 30 to 45. Along with lecturers project guide and lab guide also help in improving students' strengths and experiments. Lecturers have a lot of experience prior join this institution.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
