Remarks

The college is very good in terms of extracurriculars (Clubs that are handled by the students themselves) but on therms of academics especially the way the course is taught be it labs or anything needs a better check. Infrastructure is well developed but not well maintained. Random and frequent water shortages still pose a problem for long enough.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course and curriculum were not up to date for the students up to our batch but fortunately has been updated for batches that we're admitted afterward. The exam structure is not at all research-driven and needs to be reconsidered. The knowledge is not industry-specific for most of the cases and no formal industrial visits are organized by the college. Only the ones participating in technical teams or events (that are few already) get the exposure that is also concentrated in one semester leading to overburdening while there is no such activity/events for all.

Placement Experience

3

The placement scenario needs to be improved as most of the companies (out of the few that do) only visit here due to its scenic location. Though a few of them also come to select students for internships the opportunities are very low considering the strength of students. So most of them have to look out for themselves.

College Events

5

Two major fests. 1 Hill'ffair (Cultural fest: odd semester) 3-4 days 2 Nimbus (Technical fest: even semester) Usually 3 days Annual sports event Lalkaar (odd semester) 3 days usually Numerous small events are organized on the campus throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is varying for varying categories on income as well as other bases for which you need to provide a proper certificate. Considering the maintenance and facilities we see being provided, it is a government Institute Of national Importance the fee is high in general.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any scholarship as I was not eligible. The scholarships are based on the category of the student's SC, ST, etc. For the rest, there are not as such other scholarship programs that I'm aware of by now.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is pretty good and the gender ratio has drastically improved since last year. Though the regular labs of course are either in very poor working conditions or still in the process of getting equipped but apart from that extracurricular activities keep you busy throughout the semester. Sports are not encouraged due to inadequate cooperation for students by the authorities when it comes to external tournaments. Though with the ongoing construction of the new infrastructure for academic, sports as well as extracurricular activities, the situation is expected to improve.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are fine especially the ones recently constructed but the ones that have been created since the college started definitely need some renovation Though the hostels accommodate about 99% of the students of Bachelor's degree the rooms in sharing are definitely overcrowded or less spacious for them.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are helpful but there's no effective formal alumni network. It all depends on how much you interact with them on your own.

Admission

Through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). whose scorecard is applicable for admission in Various B.Tech and B.Arch courses across the country. JEE is a national level examination for admission into various Under Graduate programs in engineering including B.Arch is held every year (earlier annually, presently twice a year) after class 12. The test results that are revealed online-only are used for further admission process which varies with the institution itself.

Faculty

3.5

Though there is the adequacy of faculty for subjects or courses that are being taught for long enough the teaching methodology needs to be more practical and Innovative and not academic, being it an engineering college. The lectures for each subject to a semester in course must be dependent on specific subjects weightage and not be the same for all cuz this leads to the wastage of a lot of lectures for some subjects and shortage for some other.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
