No my college is best in every aspect and I think it is best in class

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes the college provide industry based knowledge the curriculum is as same in first year there will be the subject taught in your 12 class and afterwards your core area knowledge will start and the highest package this year is 28 lakhs which is grabbed by a girl average pack this year was 9 lacs

Placement Experience

Chandigarh group of colleges is known for their placement the highest package from this is 34 lacs and students join this college becoz of placements

College Events

Parivartan Baisakhi Holi Science day and many more events are celebrated in the college Parivartan is one of the biggest event celebrated here almost all the collegs all over India comes here and join the event the event is at national level science day is also celebrated at national level

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is normal and online fees can be paid it is a private college but it charges low and provide better knowledge than any other colleges so regarding fees this College is best no one can say it charges higher fees it is according to all class people

No I have not opted for scholarships but there are certain scholarship provided by the college to the students

There are almost equal no. Of girls and boys in the college the campus life is good there is no ragging in the college labs are well maintained grounds are there for every sport debates and certain competition are organised for the students there are so many extra curricular activities

Hostel Facilities

No the hostel is best they provide good food and it is easy to reach the college on time there are 2 seater 4 seater and 3 seaters rooms so you can choose accordingly with your ample need there are 4 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel

Senior students guides us from the starting of the day so the senior here helps us from the starting of the day

Admission

On merit based I got admission in this college they also see the JEE mains rank It's onof the best college in Punjab placement in the college is superb I wanted to become an engineer so I opted this college it is affordable also and I wanted the exposure which I get in this college

Faculty

PhD faculty teaches us maths physics chemistry they provide better knowledge than any BSc and MSc teacher there are 8 lectures per day tutorial sessions are also there to ask doubts faculty of this college is supportive so you need not to worry about the quality of the education here you will get better knowledge

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Honest review

I choose this college because there are very reasonable fees which we can afford. This is well known college in my area which gives the placement to many students that was the best thing about my college. In our college they train the student by taking TPP in this we have verbal, technical, aptitutde. They prepare us for the interviews and this is not done in any other colleges. In first i tried to take admission in chandigarh university but there fees structure is out of my budget. So i choose the Chandigarh Group of College over the Chandigarh University.
