Remarks

Good- Best disciplined college in Bangalore. The director and chairman never compromised on the basics and they punished any defaulters.

Entrance Preview

I took direct admission, As fees was very reasonable. And this college was result focussed and one of the most talked college that point of time. They encouraged 12th marks which was above 60 percent.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course consisted Biotechnology, Genetics and Chemistry.Biotechnology was the main subject but it was interesting to learn all subjects. All subjects consisted of theory as well as practical of 70 marks and 30 marks respectively.

Internships Opportunities

I was not part of campus selection. There was no internship experience. I took admission to Biotechnology course after learning this course would give bright prospect but the time I passed out boom of Biotechnology faded away.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are improving. To be honest BSC Biotechnology is not very bright this point if time. Oxford engineering branches have better placements. Recently I learnt that master degrees of Oxford college has attracted companies.

College Events

3.5

Teacher day.Farewell day.Welcome day.College always invited artists during Ganesha pooja. Good and popular singers were invited to lead the event. College always encouraged cultural activities and there were great opportunity to excel in other fields also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I had to pay Rs 30000 yearly that was very reasonable and costed me Rs 90000 for entire 3 years.Other than course fee they only took nominal exam fee during semester examinations. I am not sure about current feex but I must say Oxford college fees would be lowest in top colleges category.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any kind of loan. And I am unaware of any such facilities being offered. May be Oxford college is offering such facilities in engineering and dental department.

Campus Life

4

I would say gender ratio was best in my college. My batch consisted of 50 boys and 50 girls. Girls were encouraged as boys. Director was very strict when it came to discipline.

Hostel Facilities

3

I didn't stay in hostel but my friends who stayed there gave average feedback. I stayed in rented flat near college.

Alumni/Alumna

I interacted many seniors. Almost all are settled at good positions. Many of them are currently working as lecturer. Many others have settled in pharmaceutical industry. Few of them persued higher education in other colleges and went for master in marketing management. And they are settled as good managers in renowned companies.

Exam Structure

Exam was very uniform. Every month unit test was taken to give you depth of your learning.Labs were not hectic. we enjoyed lab timings.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was the strength of oxford college. All teachers were highly experienced, committed and great observer. H.O.D were very strict about practical knowledge and they made us learn each and every experiment very precisely and judiciously.

Indian Institute of Science - [IISc], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
