Remarks

I love my college there is everything a student needs, good teachers, better classes, labs, library etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It is a good course if someone want to pursue it. but I would suggest everyonento pursue your stufy according to your intrest. exam structure is like 6 semester exams in three years. 80 marks for written exam and 20 marks for internal assessment given by college

Placement Experience

1.5

There were no on-campus placements, but they will teach you how to get a job in life, how to do things.

College Events

5

They celebrate very less events. Some time 1 or more technical events happen by some groups. They just celebrate holi even nither diwali nor lohri. But there is youth fest by university that is awesome

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are many courses, like. B. A. general, B. A. with honours, geography honours, every course has a different fee, like B. A. course has the minimum, B. Sc course has medium, but the Honours courses have the maximum fee price. thow every course is ok not that big.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there were scholarships for them who got atleast 60% marks in the 12th exam. and you have to submit some papers to the college as well as nobanno.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio- mens were more than females. there were some festivals every year and Yes there is a student union, economically it was average but we were happy. there is a field in the campus an there were a match every Saturday, there is a chemistry lab too.

Hostel Facilities

2

There were no hostel in our college, sorry to say but Yes there were no hostel. There were no hostel in our college, sorry to say but Yes there were no hostel. There were no hostel in our college, sorry to say but Yes there were no hostel. There were no hostel in our college, sorry to say but Yes there were no hostel. There were no hostel in our college, sorry to say but Yes there were no hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Very helpful, they will help you in every matters. like if anyone says anything to you, they will help you fight with them.

Admission

There is a merit list prepared by panjab university for its affiliated college. I got admission through that. firstly I did my first year from some other college. in second year I migrated from my old college to shri guru gobind singh college

Faculty

4.5

Ther were total 30 teachers maybe some more, all were highly educated and talented, some were aged between mid 30's and some between their mid 50's buth most of them were 40 or so, they always taught us everything clearly and easily so that there will be no problem learning.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
