Remarks

Management is Cooperative and helpful. There are some things that should be improved but the college is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course curriculum is decided by national level experts and is followed by all the NITs all over India. Every semester there are almost 10 subjects which cover overall development odlf students apart from technical knowledge. There are lectures organized by industry experts in our Institute too.

Placement Experience

Internship programs are organized by our institute regularly for all year students. For placement purposes the college itself invites companies for placements.

College Events

Every year there are cultural and technical fests organised by our Institute. The level of these competitions is very high and students from other institutes are also invited in our students to participate in these competitions. There are lots of cash prizes in them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

All fee payment modes are acceptable in our college. Online and offline fee payment options are available. The fees in our institute varies for different society and genders. The fee breakdown and everything in our Institute is transparent and fixed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes our society is a govt institute and they offer education loan from all banks but I didn't avail it.

Campus Life

There is reservation for female gender and other social categories in our institute. There are techfests and other sports competitions in our institute. We have societes for science and Robotics. NSS and NCC are also there in our Institute. Workshops are organised by our Institute regularly.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are shared and there are more than enough rooms for students. There are more than 10 hostels and hence no shortage of rooms. Hostel rooms are good and nice with WiFi and lan support.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

We have WhatsApp groups with our college alumnus and we are constant touch with them They do visit the campus regularly and help us with some tips.

Admission

Admission in our institute takes place through national level entrance exam JEE MAINS which is organised by the National Testing Agency NTA yearly in which admission to students is given on the basis of marks obtained. 2 exams are taken each year and best performance is considered every year.

Faculty

There more than 300 professors in our institute and for our course there are almost 10 subjects in a semester and hence 10 professors for each semester. They all hold PHD degrees from reputed colleges. Soke of them also have industry experience and are really good and expert at there subjects.

If you have strong academics

Likes

Infrastructure and quality of education and supportive professor for building our success career
Very supportive atmosphere for growth in any engineer branch
Very good approach towards creativity innovations and practical projects

Dislikes

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

I like the fact that professors teach relatively better than degree college
I also like the infrastructure of the institute
I like the sporta event that takes place

Dislikes

I dont like the quality of food that is provided in the mess
Also the room size is relatively small
I also dont like the fact the online food delivery is limited to campus gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is good after first year. But in the first year a student has to study the basic subjects of all the branchs which is not needed

very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I felt this college was the right choice because it offered a balance of good academics, infrastructure, and campus life, which was better than the options I had in hand....Read More
