Remarks

I am an alumnus of PEC and this is my honest review. Bottomline: You will regret joining here once you start working in a company. College rules will no way help you at work, as they claim. Category wise ratings: Infrastructure and Maintenance : 5 out of 5 Planning and organisation : 5 out of 5 Food : 5 out of 5 Placement training: 3 out of 5 Offering support materials : 5 out of 5 (A good initiative) Student satisfaction: 0 out of 5 Staff friendliness : 1 out of 5 (there are a few staffs who are very good. I once got thrashed and my notebook was thrown apart. My friends id card was just broken into pieces. Without ID, you are not allowed to enter into any block within the campus) Now to the most important part: Exposure to co-curricular activities : 0 out of 5 (Permissions to attend internships will not be provided, Student must have a good academic background to avail permission) Leaves : 4 per semester (you will face hell to get permissions, so do no ask permission for leaves. I once asked 2 days leave for availing a passport and got roasted immediately by HOD) Lastly, after you graduate and when your colleagues ask about your college history, Bear all the laughter and sympathy they show to you. I get trolled everywhere when they get to know where I studied from.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Exposure to co-curricular activities : 0 out of 5 (Permissions to attend internships will not be provided, Student must have a good academic background to avail permission). I seriously regret joining this college.

Placement Experience

3

The following companies take the majority of students every year: Infosys, wipro, Cognizant, IBM. No software product companies visit our college. The placement percentage is around 60. Package offered is around 300000INR.

College Events

0.5

Department symposiums are conducted every year. However, only 3rd year and final year students are allowed. Hostels celebrate "Hostel Day" every year. We are not encouraged to conduct any events though. There is a fresher onboarding day which occurs yearly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is generally very expensive. There is no proper fee breakup. This institution allows christians to study with lesser fees. But I would say that the quality of infrastructure provided is reasonably fair. But still it is on the expensive side.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. My dad paid the fee, hence i did not have to do that.

Campus Life

5

There is no extra curricular activities. We were strongly discouraged to organise or participate that happen in other colleges. Boys are not allowed to talk to girls and vice versa. If found, the student will be scolded and will be asked to apologize along with their parents to the college staffs.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are neat and tidy. Very good maintenance. Very good food. But electronic gadgets such as mobiles, music players, laptops are not allowed. If found, they will remove you from the hostel. Hostel staffs sometimes beat up students if they are found to cause any mischief.

Alumni/Alumna

This college does not have an alumni network nor does encourage interaction with seniors. The problem here is that there is no way to communicate with senior. We are not allowed to use social media such as facebook. And we are generally not allowed to be in college outside college hours.

Admission

I got admission through management quota.

Faculty

1.5

The staffs are rude and non friendly. They also beat up students often. We generally depend on the text books to study. The classes are mostly useless. There are staffs who are racist and lookdown upon caste. The staffs mostly do not care about the student's career.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
