There is more of a bad experience than good. Very few faculties are supportive. Others do have knowledge but are not willing to share. I would rather prefer taking 2 years of industrial experience than taking a Master's degree from this college. I just feel like I bought a piece of paper in the form of a degree by paying very hugh price.

I took PGCET of Gujarat. Also called NONGATE. This is taken after the GATE examination that is held every year in February for getting into too engineering institutes like IIT, NIT etc. NON GATE is for those students who cannot crack GATE exams and still want to pursue Master's.

The curriculum is designed by Gujarat Technological University(GTU). The syllabus for Master's is not any more than that of bachelor's degree. This thing implies on all the streams of engineering courses of GTU. Subject design is for the bachelor students and not for the level of Master's.

Though I don't have much Idea as I've never participated in any of the events I can say that college is quite active in such matters. Faculty actively participate in such events and sports. Even principal does students are quite enthusiastic in such things.

It's like buying a piece of glass at the price of a diamond. The fees is too high for every semester. It is around 50k or more per semester. I think it is high in comparison of no education,no knowledge given at the institute. Over and above GTU charges 1k as an exam fees for every semester that we've to pay from our pockets.

I have no knowledge regarding the scholarship or loan given by the college. May be GTU is giving some scholarships to students who are brilliant.

The campus life is not good for Master's students. Actually there are no regular classes. The students are mostly from the nearby villages so they are not that aware. There have been quite a few eve teasing incidents. There is hooting by the students whenever a girl passes by. My personal experience is bad.

There are no hostels of the institute. Though there are quite a few of them which are not under observation of the institute. But as the students are mostly local they have a very good network of transportation. They have more than 50 buses in the premises but again the fees is too high per semester and that is too be paid by us.

There is a so called college alumni. But no such useful gathering takes place. We do get regular mails to become a part of the alumni but we don't find it that useful. We're the first batch of Master's so we did not have our seniors.

The exams of GTU are usually not tough except your bad luck. The exams taken for Master's students are taken very lightly. The questions are set from the previous years' question papers for the mid semester exam. No extra efforts are taken by the faculty to set the question paper.

Faculty lacked knowledge. Only few lectures were taken during 1st semester and not a single lecture was held for the remaining semesters. We had to do all the things by ourselves.
