Remarks

There is a negative side that there are transportation problem. You have only one cheep option for transport which is Auto. You can take cab also but cab is little expensive for the student. But there is one solution that college provide bus for the students with monthly charges for different places.

Course Curriculum Overview

The atmosphere of this college is very good. All curriculum do in very well mannar. There are 3 building for all courses. And for different branch we have different lab and lab is very advance. There are very large library in which the number of books are available.

Placement Experience

In our college there are many company come to give opportunities to the students. For core branch the companies came like TCS,Infosys,Star cement, philips and many more. The average anual package is 3.5 lakhs.

There many festivals, events and fest is organise. There are many cultural, technical events organised. There are quizs event also organised. There are many cultural,technical and sports club.etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

If students doing well in extra cariculum then they will get a chance to go abroad as a representative our college. There are no any offered for loan by our college. The students will get to chance to go any place through college expenses.

There are many fest organised and also give freshers for new students and many sports event. College also organised big event like ecletia, Utsav. And many more event. We also organised sports week for everyone teacher and student both.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are very helpful. They provide us many study materials. They behave like big brother. They intract with new student very nicely. They do not do any type of ragging. They helps us outside the college also.

Admission

I got an admission through WB JEE. My WB JEE rank was 8573 and then i choose college and stream according my interest in counseling. Then i got mechanical engg. In heritage institute of technology in 1st round. Then i alloted my seat for this.

Faculty

The faculties are very good. They have very well known degree. They are very helpful in manner. They intract with each and every student while they are teaching. They help after the class also. Their teaching style is very good and understandable.

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Good Internship Opportunities

Helpful Faculties, the faculties over here helped us through out the course
Good clean and green campus with water supply at different places in the campus
Structured syllabus for industrial readiness in the curriculum

Dislikes

Nothing such I have disliked, but some classrooms projector did not functioned properly
Some time the guards unnecessarily behaved rude which I hated the most

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

Likes

The college provides a moderately good infrastructure so it is more or less good. However some lab equipments have gotten old so upgrading those would be appreciated.
The teachers and students are very friendly so interacting is very easy. Teachers are mostly experienced and quite knowledgeable in their field of expertise. However the college follows the curriculum suggested by makaut which feels outdated.

Dislikes

The college doesn't give any options to play anything in college in their free time so that's an issue in my opinion. Also college isn't keen on giving NOCs for internships. Also they don't tend to provide funding to projects developed by students.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

mostly from end of third year students start getting campus placements and companies like TCS AND WIPRO HIRE MAJORITY of the students. The average package is 450000 and highest package every year goes upto 9-12 lakhs per annum. I want to go into core Electronics domain for which I am preparing for masters as no core electronics companies come in this college

GOOD College at low fees.

Likes

The campus is very big of the college which is about 50 acres and very greenly campus
The events and clubs with sports held in campus is very good and very happening
The placement opportunities in this college is very good and the faculties are very supportive

Dislikes

The infrastructure is bit old and renovates it bit very late which impact in bit difficulty
The senior are very supportive but at the same time they are very strict regarding the discipline which they call it ragging
The location of the college is bit outside of the main city so you can find it bit difficulty in your starting days of living here

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

lab circumtances are lightly good.we can share our opinion their.
use of projector is very helpful for us .
faculties behaviour is good ,they are quite helpful toward us.

Dislikes

small area campus is that what I do not like
canteen facilities are not good enough .
small space library are not enough for all students

Placement Experience:

after 6th sem those students who scored above 7 CGPA are eligible for campus placements. name of companies- TCS,Campgemini,Accenture,Delloite etc. average package -320000 70 percent most of students got placed. I want to job at IT sector after getting the degree.

Fair college according to me

Likes

The college management is really up to the mark. I am from the computer science and engineering department.
Good placements according to the amount you pay.
Good environment for coding and development.

Dislikes

There are a lot of extra clubs which are not so functional.
Hostels are good but not up to the mark .
The play ground is available but not inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

Our college provide really good placements if the student is really eligible for employment. There are adequate no. Of companies visiting the campus. Some big companies are - MICROSOFT, LAB VANTAGE, DELTAX, RTCAMP, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, IBM, MUSIGMA, TIGER ANALYTICS, KEY SIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, KEYENCE, MANIKARAN POWER, TCS, E&Y etc. The highest package is around 20 lpa and the avarage is around 5 - 6 lpa. Placements are better for cse, it and ece. The core branches have mediocre placements.

The library system is good. With many authors and writers available.
The faculty is helpful and coperative.The faculty helps the students in their studies and day to day problems faced in the college.
The classrooms are enough big to accommodate the strength chosen by the faculty.

Dislikes

The labs are not very well equipped. The monitors and PC are back dated versions.
The washrooms are not very well maintained and they stink.
The faculties are not very helpful in the project work and personal academic life of the students.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students are allowed to sit for placement. Tcs, wipro, Capgemini are the mass recruiters of our college. Other companies visit as well Deloitte, accenture and many more. The average package being is 4 lakhs per annum and the highest being around 10 lakhs per annum.

The college campus is very big and beautiful.
The cultural fests and annual fest is also great.
The ganga ghat is really close from the college.

Dislikes

The faculty is bullshit .some profs are ok,but some are horrible.
The college hostels accommodation is really bad
The ratio of girls to boys is very poor.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okay and companies like google, Microsoft, Capgemini ,Tata,Mahindra also comes during placement.The off campus placement record is also fantastic.The were scenarios in the past years where few students got packages like 50-70 lpa.

Average Makaut college with no placements.

Likes

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.

Heritage - A Review for Peers

I applied to SRM and BIT. I did not choose SRM because the fees were too high and rejected BIT because the infrastructure was not as good as Heritage, although the fee structure was same. I applied to plenty of state engineering colleges and only made it to UIT, BU which has awful facilities and a good ragging culture. So I opted out and went to a private college. Among private colleges, as far as I know, WB, IEM and Heritage are considered to be better. IEM's strict uniform code, zero campuses made me choose Heritage over IEM.
