Nothing bad. Management is doing their job well for our university.
There are three faculty in the university. there are 4 departments in engineering, 6 in horticulture, 16 in agriculture. In agriculture the study system is course credit system. There are 8 semesters in 4 yeara course. In each semester one have to study atleast 10 subjects.
As much I know once the placement of the university was very good. But nowadays it is not so good.
All the national days like independence day, republic day, netaji birthday, gandhijayanti etc is celebrated. Rabindrajayanti, social, teachers day, annual sports, sports competition is also organised. pujas liks Biswakarma puja, saraswati puja is celebrated.
I think the fee structure is better than other agricultural colleges in the country. It is surely feasible. Online and cash payments are taken in the university. They donot take additional fees in order to secure admission in the university. Very less fees are taken.
Our university also offers scholarships for the students. Anyone can apply for it. Amount is very good.
Campus life is just awesome. Leaving the parents' shade we are very happy to stay here. gender ratio can be said 60:40. Girs are coming from all around to study here. Very good security is given by the university. Frankly speaking university is very friendly to us.
Seniors are just like our own brothers. They helped us a lot to gather experience, to understand everything, to overcome adverse situations.
There are two processto enter in the university. Firstly through the merit list of class 12 board exam. Another is through entrance test organised by ICAR. There is also facility of sports quota present. Then the councilling happens after somedays. Then finally admission process completed.
There are huge number of lecturers in each faculty. In agriculture in each department there are 5 to 10 lecturers. Variety is seen in their ages. They are very good in clearing our doubts in subjects. they are very friendly to us. They are also well qualified.
Placements scenario is not so good, it's average. And if you choose this university leaving a private college, then your decision is better. Packages are mostly in between 3-5 lacs. The multinational company visit every year, BCKV provide every student job and make them earning, and alumni are very notable.
Students from the 7th semester are eligible for campus placement. Our seniors are in the 5th semester. So, no placement till now. This course is research-based so students are preparing for post-grad. As TNU didn't have ICAR affiliation so we are not eligible for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). This course is also focusing on entrepreneurship. Government jobs like AFO, NABARD are targets of the majority of students. Private job as Agri consultant is in demand nowadays. I want to pursue Agri-Bussiness Management for my post-graduation.
After 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like Tata rallies, Pan seeds, Indoderma Chemicals, Ujjiban Small Finance Bank, Iffco etc and about 100 placement have been made by them. Highest package is 55000/month and avg is 30000/month. 25% of all students is getting placement each year
Overall this university is very much good for pursuing B.sc. Agriculture. This university has a great reputation in bringing advancements in the farming society. The management is not that much good but it is enough to become a good personality.
