Remarks

The college is good overall, but there is definitely work to be done in terms of exams, curriculum, boy-girl ratio and interactions. some of the rules which college has imposed is not common sense and that needs to be changed.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exams, i joined through sports quota through a selection process which i went through for representing my state football team.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was decent and informative but was not creative and fun. There was no practical correlations with the curriculum we had. Each and every semester had theory and practical papers but some of them were just boring. I think most of them were like that. It was just like rubbish information of a technical thing thrown into a paper.

Internships Opportunities

I went to Neyveli Lignite Corporation for Internship. It was definitely a good experience that i could think back on. We went through the different power stations and power generators. Learned a lot from there, but unfortunately no stipend was given except for a certificate.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements and job opportunities were not that great in my college. We had wipro and infosys coming to our campus and they took around 250 students of 800 students and the rest had to find their way through pool campuses and off campus opportunities like i found NTT DATA in my pool campus at SRM.

College Events

5

Every year we had College day, hostel day and technical symposiums conducted in our college. Our college culturals part of college day was amazing that we enjoyed the most. Apart form this we had christmas, diwali celebrations which also took our keen interest every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I had privilege of pursuing a free education as i was admitted through a sports quota. It took a huge burden from my dad's shoulders. It was really great that the college was able to support us like this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Like i said earlier, I had privilege of pursuing a free education as i was admitted through a sports quota. It took a huge burden from my dad's shoulders. It was really great that the college was able to support us through a scholarship like this.

Campus Life

4.5

This is the interesting part of college life. The gender ratio was bad in most of the departments except for CSE and IT. The common ratio was like 4:1 interms of boys vs girls. The Hostel parties were fun and we had birthday cakes from the college bakery for every birthday. All the extracurricular facilities were fantastic and our staff encouraged to participate in all the events that happened.

Alumni/Alumna

This is a sad story, we often get mail communication for alumni registrations but there is no alumni meeting that ever happened. so active participation can be reason from the college but it is just an excuse that they are not able to organize one.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was terrible. There was no sense of proper structure of how the exams were structured. Anna university is the one to be blamed of for this. Lab sessions were not informative although seemed bit convincing.

Faculty

3.5

The Faculties were decent and informative but were not creative. There was no practical correlations with the curriculum we had. Each and every semester we had different faculties but some of them were just boring. I think most of them were like that. It was just like they were vomiting the rubbish information of a technical thing thrown into them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
