I actually attended Anna University Engineering counselling and got merit seat in Jeppiaar Engineering College.
Course Curriculum Overview
4years course with 8 semester. In each semester we have 6 theory subjects and three practicals labs. First two semesters, we had common subjects for all departments( like physics, chemistry and computer science). From second year onwards, we had taught with core subjects like digital electronics, electricals and so on. 3rd year, sixth semester we need to do simple mini projects. And for final year 7th semester, we had a choice of some elective subjects like satellite communication, professional ethics and so on. Final semester we need to do some main project in core field.Total theory subjects - 51Total lab practicals - 21Projects - 2
Internships Opportunities
Our college didn't provide any internship to students. But our professors suggested us to go some well known core companies to attend internship. We actually went to BSNL for internship with no stipend.
Placement Experience
Placements is one of the important aspects while choosing the college. Our college tie-up with some mnc companies like CTS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, L&T, Virtusa. More than 96% of eligible students placed in that year. For placements our College providing pre-placements training to students to tackle interviews in easy way. This will really helpful to final year students to develop their communication skills.
College Events
During the year of 2012, Our college celebrated the first inter cultural events all india level. College students from various colleges in india participated in this event and won many prizes. Every year we conducted national level technical symposium to develop our technical skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure in Jeppiaar Engineering college is really feasible. Compared to other colleges, our college fee is really low and very economical. I actually paid the college fees through bank loan.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our College provides scholarship to meritorious to encourage the students with fee waiver and free laptops. There is no option available for loan facility.
Campus Life
Our college really encourage the students to participant in extra curricular activities like NCC, sports. Our college actually providing co-education there is no gender biased. Boys and girls are really friends in nature.
Hostel Facilities
When looking into hostel facilities, rooms were really clean and provided with 24/7 power supply to avoid any interruption of studies.Mess food really delicious and hygienic with both Vegetarian and non vegetarian foods. We paid the fees with annual fees.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college really organizing the alumni network to develop the college and upcoming students to support them in technical way.We are going to attend alumni session in this year.
Exam Structure
In Each year we had two semesters. For each semester we took 6 theory papers and 6 practical labs. In final year we did main project with the help of our professor
Faculty
for each departments we have separate group of faculties under the control of Head of departments. Our college has experienced professors and assistant professors to help the students in enhancing the knowledge in practical way. And each labs our college has lab assistants to guide the students in practical lab classes.
