The computer science campus is not that good as compared to other department campuses.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course out here is updated. You get enough time to learn new skills. There are 5 working days in a week. Exams are not very tough. If u have any problem related to any topic you can consult your faculty. After entering the college u will be assigned a mentor who will solve all your issues.
Placement Experience
More than 100 companies visit every year. Avg for the computer science department which includes CSE, CSSE, CSSE, IT, is approx 5 to 6 lakhs.
College Events
Kiit Fest which includes 3-star night in which 1 night includes EDM, and the other two are for star band and star singer. Many technical events such as roadrunner, mirror maze, line crawler, ROBO WAR, and many more. Many coding related events also take place.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are expensive. You also have to pay exam fees of 1000 before every semester exam. Laundry charges are approximately 1600 which is not mentioned in the fee structure and is optional. Mode of payment of fees is NEFT, Paytm, Demand draft. You can't pay your fees in cash.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I have not opted for any education loan but the college will provide you a certificate. With the help of that certificate, you can loan from any bank.
Campus Life
A huge campus of approx 850 acres. I m a first-year student and I have not explored the campus yet. The kiit campus also has a cricket stadium, football ground, and synthetic hockey stadium. You also find many sports center here where TT, badminton, gym, snooker, squash, and many more. Here volleyball and synthetic lawn tennis court are also available.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. Hostels are good. Rooms are being cleaned every by the cleaners. My room is 3 bedded non-ac. Washrooms are ok, not that bad. I would recommend everyone to opt for 3bedded non-ac or 3 bedded ac because there you are gone live your real hostel life. Premium hostels are boring.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the alumni network is helpful. Kiit has a large alumni network. Many live developer seminars are also being conducted.
Admission
It is a good private college after Bits and Thapar. Placements are also good. I also had an option of vit and my rank was approx 11k so I would get ecs so I opted for kiit and here I got CSSE. First, you have to give entrance, and then on a merit basis, you will be given a date for counseling where you can choose the branch you want on the basis of availability.
Faculty
Only a few teachers make their lectures interesting. Some are very strict and some are chill type. Here labs are properly designed. Lab assistants are ok types. Some teachers are very much dedicated to their jobs. You also have to do many assignments but if you manage things properly it will not be hectic at all.
