Remarks

It's the best college after IITs. It's a lifetime moment to study here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum mainly focuses on applications and research-driven. The exam structure is overall relevant. One gets enough time to prepare for exams whether it's a theory or practical paper. Practicals are mainly conducted as per the industrial standards which helps the students to cop up with the industries after placements.

Placement Experience

5

Placements here start from the 6th semester itself. Companies offer PPO to the students. And general placements start from 7th sem. 100% of students are placed by the beginning of the 8th sem. Companies like Ericsson, Cyprus semiconductors give placements to our students. I also got PPO from Ericsson and working as an intern there. The college provides innumerous no. of internships and training around the year.

College Events

4.5

During our college fest, there are 2 or 3 technical events. Students are groomed throughout the year under different technical societies to take part in any tech fest anywhere in the country. And the no. of students participating in these activities is really huge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fees are feasible according to the infrastructure and facilities. There is transparency in fee-breakdown. The college accepts every mode of payment except cash. Students have to upload a copy of the UTR no. to get their fees acknowledged. An initial amount of 75000 was given for the counseling purpose. Counseling fees were 10k and the rest was used to provide a laptop to us during our first month of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't avail of any loan. But I get a scholarship from the rail. To avail of any scholarship have to take a Bonafide certificate from the respective department office and submit it to their concerned scholarship firms.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is far better than any other engineering college. One can access the canteen, gym, basketball courts, hockey, football, and cricket ground at a minimal cost. Food courts are opened round the clock throughout the year. There's a society for every extracurricular activity. Male to female ratio is quite good it's nearly about 1:3. There are different hostels for international students. They also feel safe here in this college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are far far far better than any engineering college. 24*7 running water and electricity. Well furnished rooms and beds. Cleaned every morning by maids. The monthly hostel fee is 1/3 rd of the monthly pg fees. The day the FANI cyclone hit BBSR everything was devastated still we were served fish and chicken biriyani as per the mess menu. There was an electricity cut but only for 4 hrs a day.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and students are extremely helpful. Whether we know or don't know each other they are always up for help. They are like our parents in college.

Admission

2017 on 18th April the entrance test was conducted, on 25th April the results were out. On the 9th of May, I was called for counseling purposes. On the 27th of June, the admission was completed. Overall it's a 45 days process from the exam till the admission. I opted for the course as I was always fascinated by circuits hence opted for electronics and telecommunication.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are very keen, kind, and helpful. Have enough knowledge about the subject. There is a 100% chance to score well if someone follows every lecture carefully as there are no lacunae in the teaching process. Most of the faculties are experienced, IIT and NIT qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
