College Education

College management is below average b/c our department wasnt allotted any permanent classroom regardless our course fee was highest. College claim to have air conditioners jn Laboratory but was never practically used. Our hands on practical were good as each student had the adequate equipment to perform practicals.

The course was academically similar to other Colleges offering same course but the extra-curricular activities where related to my professional knowledge such eg coding completion, College inhouse project. Techxpo was one Such event were we all need to participate and showcase our project. It eventually developed our coordination and teamwork skills.

Placement in our colleges took places at two stages. First placement drive was before internal exam i. e Monsoon. Second placement drive was conducted in January After our Semester 5 Exam. Most of the Companies had standardized prerequisite like A agg grade any programming language hands on.

Zenith-BMM department annual festival, Techexpo- BSC(CS, IT) department. There are different festivals celebrated in our college above are the 2 mostly celebrated crowded and enjoyed. In our college ever festival has their own showcase of talent from their department usually students from different college can can also participate un such events where the judges are invited basis on their domain speciality.

Bsc-It Course is an unaided course in Mumbai university. Usually unaided courses are little expensive. My Course structure was 1. ) FIRST YEAR-23500 Rs 2. )SECOND YEAR -2578900 Rs 3. )THIRD YEAR-26546 Rs additional 3200 for college maintenance every year charge. Fees breakdown will be mentioned in Fee Recipet. Fees is paid by Cheque and Demand Draft (specific bank) only.

No I haven't opted for the any Scholarship. Our college don not offer any scholarship for any program. But any third party or government scholarship can be availed and certified from College administration. Our college follow strict norms of the University of Mumbai. Though our college has turn out to be autonomous now, so I have no idea about schorlaship program.

Campus life is best at Somaiya. People from different stream would meet each other share their talent ideas and can be a better person. Team-Cordination, Cultural events gets engage all people from different department. Each department have their hands on labs session. Especially technology department is more innovate than other department.

Alumni usually have a placement drive after their first year of graduation completion. Alumni can option for Teaching Professional as on Temporary basis which will be referred by their respective department HOD if their performance are satisfactory in their entire course curriculum.

I actually applied through colleges online portal for Second year admission. Got the admission through merit list. Usually the admission process start after every academic year final exam results. The process js 1 mont long jn which three merits list will be displayed out. After acceptance of application student need to enrollment an d confirm admission within week span.

The faculty in our had previous industry professionals who eventually now turned their path towards teaching career. Every faculty had specific domain specialization which was helpful for my career development, I learned project management skills from my Head of Department.
