Remarks

The staffs and faculty are great and friendly. You cannot expect the management to be the same. They are totally money minded.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

They offer major engineering courses. It's a four year full time course and the exams are conducted twice in year. It is conducted and controlled by Anna University. In these years, all you can learn is only getting pass mark. Nothing other than. The Facility will give utmost care for academics only. Students cannot expect to indulge in extra curricular activities or sports since the management doens't care about it. Reg. the fee structure, it seems fair. They charge 55, 000 for mechanical engineeringper year excluding exam fees and no dues.

Placement Experience

0.5

Recruitment drives takes place once a year for the final year students. You cannot expect any core or OEM company in the campus. Most of the companies would be BPO or tier 2 mechanical company. Simply don't expect good placement from the college.

College Events

2

Every year they conduct college culturals. And the departments conduct symposium once a year. Comparatively symposiums are better than culturals in all format. Students for other college would be visiting to participate in the events. There will be technical and non technical events. It will be a full to part of. It will be like a festival for two weeks. Sept 1 of every year is celebrated as founder day, as it is the birthday of the founder S. Peter. It will a lot of fun for students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's fair. They charge 55, 000 per year. You can pay in installments. They also provide time extension for paying fees. Government subsidies can be applied here. If you are first graduate in your family and from scheduled caste your fee will be born by the government.

Fees and Financial Aid

I applied for first graduate subsidy. They ask the certificate to make it process. Henceforth I raised an online application in the nearby e- seva. I got the certificate within 2 weeks and submitted in my anna University counseling session.

Campus Life

2

Inside the campus, you'll be not allowed to roam anywhere during class hours. There will be majority girls in bio technology and computer science engineering. Mechanical would be of completely boys. Overall the gender ratio is 50-50. Labs are not maintained well. Only some of the equipments would be working. There are no extra curricular labs. There will be a student committee called FACE. They conduct programs to improve students' aptitude and communication skills. Other than that there are no social bodies realted to the college.

Hostel Facilities

1

No, I haven't opted hostel, since my house is nearby to the college. Everything in the hostel sucks. Food, water and rooms, restroom will not be upto standard. We can see many students vacating hostel after first year. Because there is no value for money there. The hostel is situated inside the college premises. You've to get permission from the HOD if you want to go out in the weekend.

Alumni/Alumna

Some of them are settled well. That is purely because of their hard work or recommendations. College doesn't make any part in that. But sadly many of them are working in a job without satisfaction, not to mention some person are unemployed.

Admission

I got admission through anna University counseling. After that I just visited college once where I filled all the forms and submitted my marksheets and tc. That's all. I chose mechanical engineering because it is the subject of my interest and I could see good future in it. I chose this institution because it is nearby to my residence, fair fee structure, friendly atmosphere and good facilities. After getting admitted you will be given one last chance to change the mainstream. After that your name will be registered.

Faculty

3.5

During the first year, regardless you stream you'll be put in science and humanities department. There you can see almost 8-9 faculty members. A few of them are really good and have great wisdom. But most of the staffs are below average. From second year, the students will enter into their mainstream. There the HOD and the asst. HOD are ph. D holders where the rest have completed post graduation. The lectures would be interactive and friendly. You can enjoy and learn aswell, at the same time. They will completely train you up for facing the exam. In knowledge point of view, You cannot expect anything.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
