Highly Satisfactory college with good faculty and opportunities

The opting of this college is totally on the basis of the rank that you get from your WBJEE entrance exam. However, JEE MAINS rank is also considered here. The college comes under the Top 10 colleges in West Bengal currently under the choices available for WBJEE. The college usually starts its opening rank from 9000 (Wbjee Rank) for its top branch i.e. computer science and engineering. The college has a very good and helpful faculty in this branch and even for the other branches. It is also one of the only colleges in India where you have the biomedical engineering branch. This college (established: 1998) is one of the earliest engineering colleges in India. Under the Techno India group, this college comes the second most renowned after techno salt lake. The labs of this college are pretty engaging and a complete anti-ragging system is maintained here. In the last few years, the placement record has also been fairly good, with students getting placed at Microsoft, Intel, Thoughtworks etc.

Computer science engineering(CSE) has been the most wanted and rated course in this college and most of the placement comes from this branch. The faculty, lab staff, and the good number of computer labs make it an amazing blend for teaching-learning interfaces. The classrooms are supported by projectors so that teachers can have extensive teaching support. The teachers are friendly and ready to help in all possible matters, projects, etc. The best part is this college's academic part is a well-balanced sector where they keep you engaged with projects and assignments so that you never feel the before exam day pressure. Also, unit tests are conducted after completing certain portions of the topic, to have a check and balance system.

The college grants permission to students to choose internships as per their choice but they ensure that if the candidate needs to visit the company in person then their attendance is provided. The faculty here motivates us to look for internships and summer training organized by various industries so that the students get an in-hand knowledge of the industry level practices of the topics they are learning or will be learning.

I believe that in the case of placements, student's knowledge and skills is something that comes even before college. The college and authorities of the Techno India Group make sure that good and renowned companies visit the campus and also for centralized campusing. Students can start making preparations for internships from the 4th semester itself and the campusing starts from the middle for the 3rd year and continues in terms up to the end of the last semester of 4th year. As per the reports of the last couple of years, the highest package offered has been 12.5 LPA. The average package offered to students is 4.5 LPA. Placement statistics from all the branches are satisfactory, however, for computer science and engineering, the number is bit high.

The fees for any four-year BTech course is nearly 3,60,000 at the end of four years which is comparatively a bit low as compared to other colleges. There might be a facility of scholarship available but I am unaware of it. There are two types of placement programs held: one is on-campus, where companies visit the college and the other is centralized where all the students from different colleges under the Techno India group come together and compete. The placement record for the past couple of years is fairly good with students being placed at Microsoft, Byjus, Thoughtworks, Intel with packages of 10-13 LPA. The average package for this college is 4.5 LPA which is slightly high that the others. So in terms of placement, this makes quite a good call for this college.
