i applied to colleges like techno main saltlake, heritage, meghnad saha institute , STCET. But I preffered this college as the fees is less compared to others. Also the college is nearer to my home, which would reduce the travel time. I could'nt make to college like Jadavpur University due to low rank. For admission WBJEE rank is required with 10+2 qualification. Students need to register through wbjee counselling, fill their preferences and then colleges are alloted according to their rank. I have given the west bengal joint entrance exam(wbjee) and through it the nsec college was allotted to me through counselling process. When the result declared, you have to apply for counselling and put your choice of colleges with rank. Every round you will be allotted college according to your result rank. I had a senior in my locality, 2019 passout, following whom I joined NSEC. I still admire and thank him for guiding me while joining NSEC. While admission I didint face any kind of interview. I had got a rank in WBJEE, and during the first counselling round, I selected NSEC, got NSEC, and finalized it by paying the first semester fees. I wasnt rejected by any college, as I went ahead with my first option. The counselling round at college isnt anything special, just a question whether or not we would be able to bear the college fees, as all comes down to money.
