KIT Kanpur, B.Tech, Information Technology

Reviewed on Jun 16, 2020(Enrolled 2017)

Remarks

My AKTU rank was not so good and I didn't clear JEE, so I was offered admission at Kanpur Institute of Technology. I had no other option than to join this college. This college is a mediocre college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum followed by my college does not meet the needs of the industry. The faculties are also not well trained. The college does not support and trains its students to fulfil the industry needs.

Course Fees: INR 700000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement rate of the college is average. If the student is extraordinary then he can get placed with his hard work and efforts. Because very less no of companies visit the college and offer very low package.

College Events

The college encourages students towards extracurricular activities so various technical and non-technical events are held throughout the year. The college's cultural fest is also grand as it hosts a celebrity as well. The main attraction is DJ night and celebrity night.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

Sports Activity are the great , there are too any ongoing activities in different time interval.

Dislikes

The Education system lacks a little bits as the teachers leaves the institute in a short period time , like end of the semester.

Placement Experience:

After 6 semester the student are eligible for the campus placement . The companies visited are mainly non-tech with expection of the very few tech compaies like CODT Technologies , Axiom Technology , Delta , Kloudcodey , Seccon etc and the offer were made around 3-4 per student which fet selected in the company selection interview.

I applied to United University but I choose kit . Yeah I want to join iit but I got rejected that's why I choose this college.
