Remarks

Infrastructure Was really good.One of the most suggested university where you are prepared for a better future.Hostels are really good. Got friends for life.They are family to me. Its a place full of life, peace and prosperity

Course Curriculum Overview

Its not soo good as expected due to lack of exposure. Students are trained to be highly competetive rather than values and ethics. All the emphasis is on projects whetger we are interested or not we are forced to do it

Placement Experience

Not so good As we didnt get placed according to our profession and salary offered to us is really low.Institute makes no heed in providing us jobs as they are more concerned about their engnieers and we are in minority so we are ignored

College Events

It has every activity under its umbrella.Names are less and activites are moRe.So many fests are organised to make the students feel alive eg music concerts, food fests, science fests.its ahead in evrything

Affordable fees; Flexible Learning; Study material; Faculty; Recognition

Dislikes

Student Engagement- It's the final sem and I'm still unaware of the names of batchmates; Network issue; No real campus vibe;
In our batch, out of around 20-30 students per class, only 5-6 are boys.

Placement Experience:

Placements come through the online portal, with an average pacakge of 3 lakh LPA. I plan to prepare for govt. exams ans explore content writing after completing the course. Opportunities are there if you actively apply.

LPU : An Insight By A Post Graduate Student

Likes

The exposure is brilliant as people from different ethnic groups and cultures stay together
The management is very strict, which ensures quality education
A lot of events take place which creates a healthy learning atmosphere

Dislikes

Too much work, sometimes becomes burdensome
A lot of evaluation based tests along with assignments
This year number of assignment sometimes makes other productive work in one personal life and unmanageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is pretty relevant to the contemporary and historic times, and it also gives you an edge because the curriculum involves a lot of activities and practice based, or we can say practical based activities and assignments which may include research papers. S says and other creativity and technical aspects.

Very good study and offering mostly all the courses
Staff is very nice, calm and well qualified
Study environment is very good with furnishing library

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not much good as per requirement
Classes are small in size according to the strength of students
Need more staff for each courses as per the requirement

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have opted Master's in Economics. The curriculum for this course was very good. As I have studied 5 books in one semester. All are related to practical world. There was Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Agricultural economics, Quantitative methods etc. The area required for improvement is digital transperancy and online work structure for the curriculum. College is following blackboard method which is main drawback in this digital world so there is need for the improvement. There are 2 exams taken in one semester. Firstly the house tests and then the main exam. House test consist of one hour and the main exam of 3 hours. Exams are moderate

Likes

Faculty is well educated and has good rapport
Building is very modern and comfortable with centralized ac
Hostel and mess are also good there are many options so people can choose to their convenience

Dislikes

Communication is slow and inefficient messages are given at last moment
Events can be organized a bit better more neatly
Examinations can be held with less chaos

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty of the institution is very good. Most faculty members are highly educated and qualified with a strong base in reserach. The student to faculty ratio is also good there are enough faculties to teach a batch of about 50 students. The exams although taken timely feel a bit rushed and the confirmation of syllabus comes at the last minute.

Enriched environment and faculty what we expected the life we got

Conversation of teachers and students could be better
Availablity of more co curricular activites
There is need of more infrastucture and overall sitting areas

I did not get a a government college or BITS because of my poor score in JEE and BITSAT so the only good private college in North India is Thapar with decent placement statistics,with great alumni network .Admission mostly takes place through online portal and formalities for hostel and mess are completed as you visit campus. Worth the Money

I applied to IGDTUW , VIT vellore and other colleges i got into both in VIT i got CS but it was too far away plus the placement percentage there is comparatively low and IGDTUW i didn't have mg prefered branch. i got selected to VIT vellore , but as i belong to punjab, and the level of VIT and TIET is the same, i preffered TIET i could even get a lower branch at NITJ (95%ile), but i did not want to compromise on my branch. admission process - you fill up an online form where you fill hostel preferances (like branch and college preferances in JoSAA) from thr options of hostels available for you (J, H, FRF and FRG for boys, I G E and PG for girls). you come here acc to time slot given to you acc to your percentile or boards percentage you are called into the main audi you get alloted a hostel there you fill up some forms, pay the mess fee, hostel fee and course fee in there go to hostel get your room keys and mess card issued then setup your room...Read More

Honest Review - Thapar University

I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota. I had 95.33 in PCM and got admission on the 12th board's basis (due to coronavirus).
