Remarks

Because it was one of the best college I could get with my rank that time. And I was fascinated by the reputation and the highly successful alumni that has passed out of this college. Being an introvert, I always thought that the college life should be best utilised to develop your personality and hone your interpersonal skills through engaging in extracurricular activities like sports, drama, debating etc. And DTU boasts of providing a great platform and wonderful opportunities to express yourself and engage in a multitude of things. This college has got a large number of technical and cultural societies to showcase your talent. The course I opted is Mechanical, quite famous in DTU. The coursework is light and flexible so it gives you ample time to pursue your interests

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is outdated but recently the college has started taking some efforts towards upgradation and flexibility like introducing Sports electives for 1st years and open electives from 3rd year onwards which means you can get yourself exposed to a variety of subjects of your liking. Studying one week before exams will help you pass your exams perhaps with flying colours. Talking about faculty in our department, some of the old teachers are very strict and are known for their hard work, knowledge and dedication towards their profession.

Placement Experience

4.5

DTU always has a large number of companies visiting the campus for placements offering profiles in Software, Consultancy, top multinational banks and core engineering sector for various disciplines. Jobs offered in Software one are the most and comes with a greater CTC as compared to other profiles. Most of the tech companies visit our campus for many profiles with jobs, internships and PPOs(if the intern is successfully converted into FTE). Big 4 auditing firms visited our college. Around 30-40 and a few PSUs have visited our campus for core mechanical jobs.CTC offered was in the the range of 5-6 lpa. Salary compensation in the software is always attractive with a median package of about 13-14 lpa while the non tech profiles usually provide around 7-8 lpa.

College Events

4.5

DTU boasts of a plethora of societies that gives ample opportunities to those who are inclined to hone themselves. Our Annual Cultural festival named Engifest witnessed a footfall of 10,000 on a single day. Popular stars like Nucleya, Vishal Shekhar, Divine etc have performed in Engifest. A lot of techfests are held around the year in which we see a large pool of students from all over India participating and showing their impressive simulation of different models.

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college. Like I told earlier also that I have interest in electronics, so I want to do something in that field. If I want then I will give GATE exam after 4 years of my college so that I can get a chance to do MTECH in vlsi.
