Entrance Preview

I had written KCET exam. And I got 26000 ranking in the exam. So as a better college for my ranking was SJMIT .As I was interested in electrical phenomena I wanted electrical course. And this college was in my range of best colleges for my ranking.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was nice . I had selected electrical engineering course and the subjects were quite interesting . The elective subject were based on environment, management and others. Subject handled were quite good and faculty members had excellent knowledge about the subject.

Internships Opportunities

I have not attended any internship during my course. As It was not mentioned and was not mandatory we didn't attend. So there is no question of stipend.

Placement Experience

Placement were not good. As we didn't have any placements in electrical branch. Other departments had placements and many students got placed also.

College Events

We had many college events. Like annual day function called spoorti which was held for 3day's and was celebrated in our auditorium, various departments halls and even in open stage. We had cricket matches competition between various departments. We had fresher's day. We had environmental day called green day. And many more events were held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure was feasible. Not much expensive. It was based on Karnataka examination authority. I had to pay 18000/- per year except the hostel and mess food.

Fees and Financial Aid

I never applied for scholarships or loan. So I don't have much knowledge about them. My friends who were from OBC have got scholarship.

Campus Life

As I have seen its quite good. Students participation was more and many debate competition were held to. Laboratory have to be upgraded. Hostel parties were not allowed. Mechanical students had workshops more den other branch students.

Exam Structure

We had 6 theory subjects and two Labs subject. For theory subjects we had to write internals for 25 marks and main exam for 100 marks. In main exam we had 8 questions from which any 5 questions has to be answered based on students choice. So , it was totally for 125 marks theory subjects and 75 marks for lab subjects.

Faculty of our college were good and kind. Had interaction with students and there was no discrimination between girls and boys. They were knowledgeable and helpful in our academics .

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Good the teachers find the best ways to make the subject interesting and teach us in the most interesting way they will help the weak students to feel the subject as a cake walk and help all the students out in the same way

Infrastructure is well established and good
Security for Students is very high and no ragging

Lack of events and only the educational events
Only one playground for cricket and also remaining
security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Good college to study

When I gave option entry I gave near by places only so I selected in this college and which is near to my native. And when I get good feedback from seniors who studied in this college. So I decided to join this college. I didn't get any rejections. The admission process was we have to bring marksheet, character certificate, caste income and transfer certificate.
