My College Experience

The college and college management is quite good and helps in overall development of the students.College life is quite good and engaging. Only one thing that can be done is to provide more practical knowledge to the students as currently more emphasis is given to theoretical knowledge. They can adopt the study structure of good foreign universities or colleges which is more practical based

As a part of my curriculum, all the mandatory subjects related to my stream were taught including both theoretically and practically.To provide industry-specific knowledge, various industry visits were arranged from time to time.A special industry specific training was arranged in the college during semester break.

Many companies like Infosys,Genpact,Wipro,IBM,ORACLE,YAMAHA,Airtel etc visited the campus for placement drives for my course. Placement process consists of 3 main steps. First students above a particular minimum percentage in their academics were chosen, followed by an aptitude test by the company representatives.At last HR and technical interview were conducted. Our institution arranged special aptitude improvement classes for the placement season. Around 75% of students are placed every year.

Our college hosted many cultural, technical and management festivals like hackathon, udaan etc. Cultural festivals includes fashion show, music band performance, poetry competition, celebrity performance etc. For technical festivals students competitions were held by inviting students from different colleges. Online game competition were also held from time to time.

My program fees was around 500000 which was little expensive. Mode of payments were direct cash deposition to college account or online transfer.No additional admission charges were there and our college provided complete transparency in the fee-brekdown.

Yes my college provided various scholarships like scholarship according to merit, sports scholarships and scholarship for students who belonged to economically weaker section of the society. I was given merit based scholarship and 20% of my tution fees was waived of due to my good percentage in 1st year of my course.Fee Concession at the time of admission is provided to the following category of students in selected courses:

The campus life was great. There was college E-Magazine for group of passionate enthusiasts who have keen interest in writing.The music club to provide the opportunity and a common platform to members where they can discuss and feel the music. Join Harmony and enhance your potential in Music. Robotics club which offers indispensible guidance, workshops and tutorials along with tools, equipment’s, components and workspace. A Dance Club which let the members to probe their potential in different dance forms like contemporary, folk, free style, locking & popping, Bollywood, hip-hop, jazzetc. So just forget everything and Dance with the Rhythm.Various sports competitions were held from time to time in which students from many colleges takes part. Gender ration of my college was 65-35 with 65% male students.

Yes, i had opted for hostels. Hotels rooms were on sharing basis with two persons in each room.Washrooms were attached with every room.PG's average rentals were 5000 per month with food and 2500-3000 per month without food.PG's were situated at a distance of around 5KM from the college.

My college has a formal alumni association known as Maharishi Markandeshwar Alumni Association which is managed by an Executive Body with representatives from different Institutions/Departments of the University. The Alumni helped me during my admission process and i also got study material from them for help. The college also considers its alumni's feedback on various academic, infrastructural and co-curricular activities. The college runs a separate Cell to co-ordinate with its passed out students and organizes on-campus as well as off-campus "Alumni Meets" on a regular basis.

I opted computer engineering because since my school days, i have an aptitude and interest for computer and softwares. My college is well established, popular and have great placement record therefore i chose it. As a part of admission process, i applied for the admission online and presented my AIEEE score and then my name came into the merit list of the college and i got the admission after i deposited the college and admission fees online.

Faculty of my college consists of around 25-30 lecturers. The designation was according to qualification and experience. Assistant Lecturers were masters degree holder with around 2-3 years of experience while the senior lecturers were having 5+ experience. Senior professors and Head of Departments were PHD holders with 10+ experience. In addition to regular faculty, sessions from external experts were arranged to impart industry relevant experience.
