Remarks

My college experience was magnificent. Experience might be different for other people. It gave me good friends and good professors

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

All the courses in post graduation level at MCC is research driven. We had to submit dissertation in the final sem. There are total of 4 semesters. There is one internal exam before every sem. The examination structure might have changed. Every year well known companies visit MCC during placements, to name a few Honeywell, PWC, Delloite, Infosys, Ernst &Young etc.

Placement Experience

3

As mentioned there are companies that visit MCC. And there is internships that takes place after the semesters. The placement cell is not that efficient in compare to other colleges. But when it comes to academics it is one the best with an excellent faculty.

College Events

4.5

CULHA is the main fest of MCC which is being organized by the undergradiate students. And there are seminars, entrepreneurials workshop, etc. MCC makes their students industrial ready by keeping workshops on different aspects. And it is mandatory to attend these workshops. And certificates are being rewarded to students for these workshops.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The academic fees keeps on changing. Fees can be given thorough online mode and offline too. There is an additional fee of 21000 which is levied upon students who belongs to outside karnataka. You can give fees of a year either semester wise or annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I didn't take any loan for my post-grad education. But you can avail it have a word with the ones who have taken loan.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus gives you a homely feel. Neat, clean and water drinking facilities in the premise There are many societies an approx of 25 societies. You can be part of a society but you will have to give audition to enroll in a society. And they believe in diversity.

Alumni/Alumna

Students, professors and other staffs are very friendly. I don't know much about alumni network but I guess they do have one. One of our alumni owns the chain of Mother Hospital.

Admission

There is different admission procedure for different courses. And procedure for new academic sessions keeps on changing. I had economics in my post graduation. It has an excellent faculty for economics. MCC involves different seminars, field work and involves weekly presentations. It makes you handle the pressure in your job life.

Faculty

4

The faculty members at MCC is excellent in their job. There is an approx of 30 faculty members in economics department. Some faculty members have already done their PhD and rest have cleared their NET. The professors are very helpful and friendly. And the curriculum that MCC follows is research driven and activity based.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester where you have to do an internship project for the semester based Most of the companies that visit are from the news organisations like Bangalore Times, The Hindu, Mint, Times of India, Deccan Herald and other companies like ITC also visit frequently. I am not quite sure about the packages offered.

Placement Experience:

By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement. As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

Placements are not as strong if compared to TISS. A few good organizations also come like reliance foundation, pradan and azim premji foundation and FES. Around 90% people get placed every year. My plan after this course is Phd.
