Remarks

Only the placement cell for nursing is not up to the mark. Otherwise, its an amazing place to explore yourself more. My favorite part at campus was library as it has almost all books even of international edition as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum for nursing is damn easier with lesser no. Of subjects per year but the assignments and training criteria makes it far worse than it actually is. The training at Fortis hospital seems amazing from outside but the staff there is quite uncooperative and usually creates a humiliating environment for the nursing students#_no respect neither for students nor for the nursing staff there??.

Placement Experience

1.5

A very poor placement is there in nursing, not only in our University but all over india. Salary structure is quite lesser than expected for a stressful working environment like this. Our campus do provide placeyments but still no good salary mannn.

College Events

4.5

IF You are a party person and do wanna enjoy your college life with amazing dj nights. Then yes chitkara is one of those colleges where you can enjoy great meals at square one (our cafeteria) and dj nights. If you are a creative person with unique ideas then again it is an amazing place to explore your skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit expensive for the nursing course if we compare it with the salary packages provided. The fee structure of my batch i.e. 2017-21 is 1,20,000 per annum and it usually increases by 5000 per year. Except this academic fee, there are also charges for erp system#chalkpad(online portal for students) which is 6000 and the hostel fee is around 48,000 for 6 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

The University offers scholarship to the jammu and kashmir students but not to any other student as per my knowledge. No scholarship provided at the time time of admission for academic achievers.

Campus Life

4.5

For nursing students, campus life is only for an year because for the rest 3 years we get busy in hospital trainings and all. Campus life is good with huge opportunities for the students who have skills in extra curricular activities. In nursing, obviously girls to boys ratio was damn much higher.

Hostel Facilities

3

I haven't opted for hostel as i was a study freek and each hostel room has around 4 students. So for me it was difficult to adjust with 3 random guys at the same time. But as my friends were quite happier with the hostel accommodation except for the mess. As hostel students are provided with extra benefits of free transportation to training hospitals and obviously more dj nights.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are usually very helpful in every aspect. I was blessed to have amazing super seniors at my campus.

Admission

I simply got the admission as my 12th grades were good enough to gain an entry. Initially, I was worried about their so called 'counseling' but later on i got to know it was just a formality there and they call you for paying the fees instead of any other thing.

Faculty

3

Faculty is good and average as well. Its your destiny whom u get ??. No. Of lectures per day is 7 without any break of a single minute in between except for a 40 min lunch break. Some of the faculty members are amazing at teaching and mentoring while some are completely opposite too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Truly speaking I was a NEET aspirant and while preparing for the examination to get admission to the MBBS course, eventually I started having an interest in nursing. As NEET was not in my hand, I cracked the Gcet exam and entered GMCH in the course BSC NURSING 4YEARS. I chose this course as my cousin's sister influenced me to do so. I already believed that being a nurse and qualifying from this college would gain a good rapport and recognition in itself. Moreover, I would able to solve my parent's problems in the financial aspect as nursing is highly paid for in every government setting. A step forward toward my goals, GMCH COLLEGE OF NURSING has also supported me in improving my overall personality. I'm now competent enough to interact and stand for my rights which was made possible only by this college. They not only inculcate professional standards in a student but also dig into a person to unbox the qualities beneath one. The examinations held pretty moderate to solve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was my second option after mbbs. And it felt like a safe option. This course is helpful for finding jobs in india and foreign countries too. There are must be 8-9 teachers. And per class strength must be 35-40. All teachers are highly qualified with there degree in bsc and msc. Some are doing their phd too. Exams occur 4 times a year.

Government Medical College and Hospital - [GMCH], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Anaesthesia & Operation Techniques)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I prefer this course Because from starting onwards, I love drugs to read, and anaesthesia is all about drugs. Ratio of faculty:student is- 1:2. Qualification for the facility must be at least above senior residents of that particular department. And their teachings method is quite professional and polite. There are 3 terms in the exam, and to pass an exam you have to score at least 50% marks of the total exam.

Placement Experience:

For the paramedics, campus placement is done after the course completion, and side with the degree we have to do clinical duty. Maximum students are able to get the placements. My plans after the completion of my degree are for pursuing my further studies and do my master's for the same course.
