Remarks

Decisions involve students hearing that is a good thing by the college management, overall the college management does well except it can work on improving infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is well curated and revised every 2 years to be kept up to date, college followed a continuous evaluation exam structure where it comprised of a 2 mid semesters and a final semester, the curriculum is provided to review by external industry experts to bring in new industrial concepts to the students, which greatly help the students be in the top of the current technologies and help their placements, every year the students are allowed to go for an industrial visit, which the students itself can vote for which industry they want to visit.

Placement Experience

4

Placement process are handled by students called placement coordinators to help develop their managerial skills and bring their wishlist companies as well grow their Network, guided by a placement officer with 25+ years of industrial experience, I have availed an internship at TCS, a lot of companies like yahoo, Deshaw, Zoho, Paytm, redbus etc visits the college every year regularly, placement is assured 90% every year and the college takes special measures to help the students through mock tests and seminars every week, the recruitment process included written exams, aptitude, coding, and technical interviews.

College Events

4.5

Every year technical symposiums are conducted by every department with they own desired names and are quite popular and largely attended by many outside students from different parts of the state, clubs inside college conduct various cultural events throughout the year, intercollegiate cultural and technical tests are also conducted every year and they are greatly celebrated and attended by large number of students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible for an economically stable people, they accept payment online via net banking, debit card and credit cards also through the bank as a cheque or demand draft, no additional fees have to be paid to secure admission, college is very transparent in fees structure except for miscellaneous fees which no one can explain.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't received any scholarship or loan because of my financial status, but the process is simple you can get a scholarship by filling a form provided in the office with the required documents and if you are eligible it will be deducted in the fees.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was a great experience, there is closer to 50/50 gender ratio no partiality was followed, and the college had diverse courses and diverse people, many students from different states study as well as different classes from the poor to the rich studied, college supported many extracurricular activities like sports, arts, karate, music, dance, literature, quiz and a lot more, labs are good in general but they can improve with new equipment, our college is well known for its sports teams they almost win in every intercollegiate game, our college did have a robotics lab and a club where interested students bring in their inventions.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes I have stayed in for my entire course duration, the hostel is good enough to stay, it was 2 persons in a room, power and water facilities are without any complaints, when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness they could surely improve, dustbins are kept 1 for 4 rooms, the hostel had a tv room were students watch television, the hostel had quite a large number of rooms there was no need to go out for rentals or pg, the hostel had a gym as well as a play area which are great.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are widely spread in different companies and sectors they greatly help in the placement process by bringing the companies they work for campus recruitment and by giving advice for the students.

Admission

Through engineering counselling by Anna University, I chose computer science engineering because of my interests in hacking and gaming that I wanted to create one on my own, you need to apply for engineering counselling through Anna University portal and a demand draft of 5000 need to submitted along with it which will be later deducted in the college fees, you will be allotted a slot based on you cut off marks, wherefrom the available seats you are supposed to pick one and granted, at the end you are provided with the admission letter for the college.

Faculty

4

20+ lectures were there for my course for different subjects, with doctorate qualifications and experience of 10+ years, and the junior staffs also pursued Masters and doctorates, lectures we're good on conveying the concepts to the students in a clear manner, almost every lecturer had a history with a company which is a plus point so that they made students understand the industrial world and needs along with the subjects.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
